J'ai passé un moment merveilleux dans le projet ! La famille était super accueillante et incluse. J'ai choisi le projet pour développer davantage mes compétences de cuisinier, ainsi que pour en apprendre davantage sur leur culture/mode de vie. Ils ont une maison douillette entourée de quatre adorables petits chats et de deux chiens. Chaque jour, on me confiait la tâche de cuisiner le déjeuner et le dîner aux côtés de leur fils. Je me suis aussi occupé à nettoyer, à lire et à faire des promenades dans la belle montagne. Il y avait toujours plein de plats et de boissons délicieux ! Ils m'ont même appris d'autres compétences pour lesquelles ils sont passionnés (soudure, ferronnerie, fermentation, etc.). Je suis tellement reconnaissant !

J'ai trouvé les hôtes attentifs et réfléchis, qui peuvent être très directs ou laisser de l'espace lorsque c'est nécessaire pour le bien commun. Ils sont tellement faciles à parler. J'ai tellement appris d'eux dans un cadre très confortable. Les environs sont magnifiques. Les animaux sont tellement câlins. Je vais probablement revenir !

I'm so grateful for my first Worldpackers experience at Bogota the project and recommend it to anyone seeking an adventure. Nestled in the green hills of Croatia this beautiful homestead and family welcomed me with open arms. The work was as agreed upon, tasks often blended into the lifestyle rather than feeling like chores. The rhythm of the days allowed plenty of time to rest and reflect. From shared (yummy) dinners to quiet moments with nature, everyday held something meaningful. Thank you, bogota the project family for showing me what intentional living looks like, I'll carry it with me wherever I go.

The time I spent at the project was the best of my life. The people, the work, the environment, everything is amazing. It was my first volunteering experience and I would without a doubt recommend it to everyone. Peter, Barbara, Fleur and Nol made me feel comfortable immediately, I was able to express myself and grow as a person. I also have to say, coming from a former picky eater, the food is definitely amazing, there wasn't a single meal I didn't absolutely love during my stay. Wouldn't change my time there for anything in the world. Highly recommend!

Cela a été une expérience positive. Une bonne famille, un bel endroit sur terre, quatre chats adorables, et deux chiens adorables. J'étais ici pour cuisiner avec leur fils Nol, qui a malheureusement été malade pendant une grande partie de mon séjour, néanmoins ils m'ont accordé beaucoup de temps libre et liberté pour cuisiner les repas. Du thé délicieux et de la kombucha restaient à disposition.

I had a great and enriching experience at the project! I learned a lot about permaculture, the rhythm of nature, and the value of building a meaningful project with people from different backgrounds. Unfortunately, the other expected volunteers canceled, and since the farm is quite remote (no bus to the town), I felt a bit alone and dependent on the family for transport and social life. Despite these two personal challenges, I truly enjoyed the hands-on learning in the garden and the care of animals. Barbara and Peter were kind and generous, and I'm very grateful for this experience.

Essa família é top! Eu recebi um Trailer que era minha casa. Trabalhei em construção, limpeza e organização. Foram dias de algumas consversas com Peter.. onde alcançei novos conhecimentos sobre o Charlei. PS.: Em dias com calor sempre acontece um banho de rio. Obrigado pelos lindos e divertidos dias!

Charlei. Ingénieur de grande qualité. Aide à faire, concevoir et construire de manière facile et agréable. Il est très autonome. Il a une attitude calme et exemplaire. Aime rire, une bière et bien manger. C'est une personne très agréable à côtoyer. Nous avons fait beaucoup pour poser les bases d'un feu ouvert avec une cheminée. Il a aussi guidé un groupe de scouts pour déplacer des matériaux de construction loin d'un emplacement privilégié. Sans aucun doute, très recommandable. Il est toujours bienvenu.

I have absolutely LOVED my experience at the project and would recommend to anyone who wants to slow down and reconnect with nature. Barbara, Peter and the family were super welcoming and always made sure I had everything I needed. The working hours were as described and flexible depending on the weather and what times we decided worked best for our group. The work its self was not overly strenuous and varied from day to day. The facilities and accommodation were great. I learnt a lot about sustainability and permaculture. Super grateful for the experience !!!

I really enjoyed my (first) Worldpackers experience at the project! The environment is beautiful, amazingly green and peaceful. Barbara & Peter are very flexible and very happy to share all their knowledge. Also: it's a big plus that Nol is a chef-to-be, so they prepare dinner every evening! Especially for 'meat eaters' a real treat, but they took my vegetarianism in account as well! I'll definitely miss this place, and all the dogs and cats as well. Hopefully we'll meet again :)

I had a very interesting and rewarding 3-week stay at the lush forest compound of Bogota the project where I stayed in my own private camper. Baking sourdough bread, foraging wild strawberries for cheesecake and nettles for soup, picking a variety of herbs for salad in the garden, learning how to make Elderberry syrup, Kombucha and fermented cleaning product. These are all recipes and methods I will carry with me for life! On my free days I visited Karlovac, the big city nearby and hiked in the national park. Croatia has been an eye-opener. Such a rich, complex and beautiful country!!!
