Détails du programme
Looking for a peaceful, hands-on escape? Join us in our sunny meadow, a vibrant clearing carved out of the surrounding wild forest where we are cultivating a productive and beautiful oasis. We are looking for energetic "green thumbs" to help us manage our vegetable gardens and flower beds while enjoying the unique experience of off-grid forest living.
The Work:
Your main focus will be our open, sun-drenched garden area. Tasks involve preparing soil, sowing seeds, weeding, and watering a variety of seasonal vegetables. You will also help plant and maintain flowers to bring color to our common areas. Because the property is a mix of open field and wild woods, you get the best of both worlds: working in the bright sun and relaxing in the cool shade.
The Exchange:
In return for 3 hours of work per day, we offer a stay in a traditional wood tipi. These aren't your average tents—they feature solid wood beds to ensure a comfortable night's sleep. You will have full access to our basic kitchen cabin for meal prep and a covered seating area to relax, read, or chat with fellow travelers.
The Vibe:
Life here is simple and rustic. It is the perfect spot for someone who wants to disconnect from the city and reconnect with the earth. You’ll spend your mornings getting your hands in the soil and your afternoons exploring the forest trails or resting in the meadow. If you are a self-starter who loves nature and doesn't mind a bit of dirt under your fingernails, you’ll feel right at home.
Requirements:
A love for gardening and the outdoors.
Reliability and a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently in a sunny, open environment.
Respect for "Leave No Trace" principles to keep our forest beautiful.

Activités et horaires
Our gardening program is designed for those who find peace in the soil and joy in watching things grow. You will be working in a beautiful, sunny meadow—a large clearing surrounded by wild forest—where we focus on sustainable vegetable production and landscaping.
Activities:
As a gardening volunteer, your primary focus will be the cultivation of our vegetable patches and flower beds. You will be involved in the full life cycle of the garden:
- Soil Preparation & Planting: Helping us prep the earth and sow seeds for various seasonal vegetables.
- Garden Maintenance: Regular weeding, mulching, and watering to ensure the plants thrive in the open sun.
- Landscaping: Planting and tending to flowers around the kitchen cabin and common areas to enhance the beauty of the site.
- Harvesting: Gathering fresh produce when ready.
While the forest around us is wild, your work stays within the bright, open clearing, offering a wonderful contrast to the shaded woods where your tipi is located.
Shifts & Schedule:
We believe in a balanced exchange that leaves you with plenty of time to explore or relax.
- Daily Commitment: Just 3 hours of work per day.
- Timing: Shifts usually take place in the morning (e.g., 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) to take advantage of the cooler air and best light, though we can be flexible.
- Free Time: After your 3-hour shift, the rest of the day is yours. You can hike the forest trails, use the kitchen cabin to experiment with garden-fresh ingredients, or simply relax in the covered seating area.
This is a low-stress, high-reward program perfect for self-starters who want to contribute to a growing homestead while enjoying the rustic comfort of a tipi stay. No heavy construction is required for this specific role—just a love for plants and the outdoors
Règles
To ensure everyone has a safe and peaceful stay in our forest clearing, we ask all volunteers to follow a few simple guidelines. Our main priority is maintaining a "Leave No Trace" environment; since we are surrounded by wild forest, it is vital to keep the meadow and common areas tidy, store all food securely in the kitchen cabin to avoid attracting wildlife, and dispose of waste in the designated bins.
Respect for the property and other guests is essential. Please treat the tipis and their wood beds with care—no smoking or open flames inside the tipis is permitted. In the shared kitchen cabin and covered seating area, we operate on a "clean as you go" basis to keep the space welcoming for everyone. Noise levels should be kept low during the evening to preserve the quiet magic of the woods.
Lastly, safety and reliability are key to our exchange. While the work is just 3 hours a day, we count on you to be present and engaged during your shift. Please use gardening tools responsibly and always wear appropriate footwear while working in the meadow. By following these rules, you help us keep this woodland oasis a beautiful and harmonious place for all who visit.
