I had an absolute blast at the hostel. Claas and Chris, the host and the manager, were so welcoming and the other volunteers really made me feel at home. The tasks and hours were straightforward and there was enough time on your off days to explore locally and venture to other areas. The hostel is in a great location and people from all over stay so you really get that global feeling. I was so sad to leave but will absolutely be back.

Genuinely if you are a woman don't come here. He puts you in the hottest part of the hostel with na/c and fans that barely work. The volunteer room itself is more of a storage closet with a bunch of random stuff in it. The hostel has no paid employees. It's ran by the volunteers, he assigns task that has nothing to do with cleaning like making sure the water is running and managing the circuit breaker when the power shorts out. He only has the women cleaning, and if the males don't show up for a shift he pushes it onto everyone else Instead of being a manager and handling it. It's terrible

Hey...thank you for this funny review. We already wrote to worldpackers about it. Theses are basically just lies from someone who thinks volunteering is a cheap way of making a holiday without paying for the stay! Everyone does the same work (males, females and everyone in between 🌈) We have a paid staff member. The volunteer room is not a storage room, it's one of the biggest rooms in the house. The fans are working (the standing ones as well as the wall mounted one)please don't lie,not nice🥱

La experiencia en el hostel fue OK. Se cumplió con lo acordado aunque creo que se podria mejorar mucho mas el ambiente y la vibra de trabajo. Sentí que cada persona iba por su cuenta y no había una integración entre los voluntarios. Además creo que las tareas del horario de la mañana eran un poco pesadas para ser realizadas solo por una persona. Ya que son cerca de 30 camas, 4 baños y zonas comunes las que debes de asear. El hostal se sostiene enteramente por voluntarios, considero bueno tener algun personal de limpieza dedicado, pues no deja de ser una empresa.

Não gostaria de falar nada sobre esse lugar. Nunca pensei que passaria por uma situação tão desagradável. Antes de Tirana eu tive boas experiências com hóspedes de diversas nacionalidades mesmo não sendo fluente em inglês. Fui honesta e transparente, pedi paciência e precisava de pelo menos um pouco de educação, coisas que este anfitrião claramente não possui. Homem grosseiro, sem paciência, nada hospitaleiro e na minha opinião, falta respeito com seus voluntários. Minha saúde, estabilidade emocional e minha experiência como viajante vale mais do que cama e comida. Fui embora, agora estou bem.

Our requirement is intermediate, not perfect, English. We accept limited English only if volunteers can understand instructions and respond at a basic level. Rebeca's messages gave us the impression she met this requirement. On arrival, she had virtually no functional English; her messages appeared to have been translated. We treated her kindly and never asked her to leave. When we calmly raised the issue, she reacted strongly and chose to leave, although we were willing to discuss alternatives.

My experience volunteering here was overall good. I met and connected with many interesting people from different countries, and the hostel itself is beautiful and generally clean. I'm grateful for the moments and friendships I made here. At the same time, I think there are still several things that could be improved. Sometimes the atmosphere felt a bit tense, and there were situations that could have been handled in a better way. Even so, I appreciate the experience because it taught me a lot and gave me both good memories and lessons.

I had a great experience volunteering here! I actually spent most of my time at Claas' other hostel, since Villa was under renovation, but it was still a pleasure to contribute. Claas is a very kind, open-minded person who creates a respectful and welcoming vibe where everyone feels comfortable. He has two hostels in the city, both with a great atmosphere. The tasks are simple and the shifts are very chill, so you have plenty of free time to enjoy the city. Everyone was friendly and collaborative, which made the whole experience even better.

Claas is a very nice host, letting you participate in decisions regarding your tasks, which were never complicated and didn't take more hours than what was pre arranged. He is open and flexible. I stayed in both his hostels in the city and both locations are quite good. If you want to spend some time in the city, I truly recommend working at the hostel

The managers are super friendly and they make sure to create an easygoing environment, You will have a fixed schedule that will allow you to explore the whole city and immerse yourself in the local culture.

My experience at this hostel was absolutely amazing are host class was so welcoming easy to talk to and had such a fun and outgoing personality. Some of my fondest memories are class making the most delicious food and BBQ I have ever had such an amazing cook. Another amazing perk was that class would often buy lots of food so we could make breakfast lunches and dinner so if we didn't want to go out and spend money of food we had that option. All in all I had such an amazing first time working at a hostel class was so friendly easy to talk with and i will always have lasting memories.
