I had a great experience with the community. I met some fantastic people from all around the world and more importantly really enjoyed the experience of living alongside people studying and practicing Buddhism at this beautiful temple and retreat. For me this was an introduction to the Kadampa branch of Buddhism and all the opportunities to attend meditation sessions and presentations were greatly appreciated. I worked mostly in housekeeping and in the laundry, often with Carmen who was great fun. Thank you Martha for this wonderful experience.

Noemí volunteered at our center, during which time she proved to be a very pleasant, willing, and committed person. She was always kind and respectful to her colleagues, and her sociable nature fostered an excellent work environment. She performed her tasks admirably, demonstrating responsibility, initiative, and a great capacity for adaptation. Her contribution was very positive, and we greatly value her time at our center.

I had the most wonderful experience at the community—it exceeded all my expectations. I met amazing people who made me feel truly welcome from the very beginning. The environment is incredibly peaceful, and the sessions are extremely helpful for personal development. The daily tasks are simple and well organized, and the food is both delicious and abundant. Meeting other volunteers and residents was the most valuable part of my experience. A big thank you to Martha, Camila, and Yurlen. I left with my heart full of joy and memories that will stay with me forever.

Me encantaron las enseñanzas budistas, los maestros y mis compañeros voluntarios. El lugar es muy lindo y tranquilo. Creo que podrían mejorar la organización de tareas teniendo en cuenta el clima y lo demandantes que son ciertas actividades y lo peligroso que es estar al sol. Los días libres deberían avisarse con anticipación. El cronograma de trabajo, el 70% de las veces se cambiaba el mismo día. De igual manera, al hablarlo se adaptaron a mis solicitudes con amabilidad. También creo que podrían mejorar la comida. Muchas gracias por todo!

Special thanks to Arturo for making us feel so welcome and creating such a beautiful energy!!<3 Almost everyone spoke English as well, but I recommend learning as much Spanish beforehand as you can to feel more connected to people at Kadampa & because it's a good way to test your skills and learn more! The tasks were as I expected, chill cleaning activities. It's easy n simple but repetitive. I loved being in the peace of the countryside <3 We had so much fun with the other volunteers, playing cards together etc, vibes were very good!! Also great for spending time alone & reflecting :)

En general considero que fue una experiencia buena e interesante para mi propósito personal, resalto la comida, muy rica y suficiente, el lugar es cómodo para dormir y descansar, también destaco la apertura y disposición de las encargadas para que los voluntarios participáramos de las actividades y clases del centro, sin duda es un lugar donde se pueden conectar con personas de todas partes del mundo; para mí fue importante mantener una actitud de servicio para conservar mi energía y disposición ya que las tareas pueden ser un poco agotadoras y están distribuidas todo el día.
