My time in Kenya was such a special experience, and Daniel made it Even more memorable. He always looked After us, made sure that we were safe and was there whenever we needed help with something. We always felg Like we had someone to rely on, which meant a lot to us. Volunteering with the Organisation the organization was amazing aswell. Daniel really puts everything into his project and you can See how much he cares about the people involved. At okoloea the organization we also got the Chance to Connect with the Community and meet amazing people. Thank you so much Daniel for making our stay so special. 🫶🏻

Lo mejor de este voluntariado son los niños, que son encantadores y se involucran muchísimo, y la gran implicación de Daniel con el proyecto. Sin embargo, hay que venir con las expectativas reales: el perfil de la aplicación promete tres comidas diarias, wifi y servicios estables, pero la realidad es que no se da ninguna comida, apenas hay internet y los cortes de luz y agua son constantes (algo, por otra parte, normal en la zona). Aconsejo actualizar el perfil para evitar sorpresas. Si vienes preparado para la realidad de la zona, el cariño de los niños hace que todo valga la pena.

The foundation leader has good intentions and is truly committed to helping the community. However, due to limited resources, the accommodation and meals may not always match the original description. I understood and accepted this, but I would have appreciated knowing it before travelling so I could have planned my expectations. Overall, it was a meaningful experience.

My time is defined by talented youth & dedicated local staff. I co-led Spanish classes & taught salsa, which was deeply rewarding. Sadly, the advertised conditions: meals, Wi-Fi, & basic kitchen were absent. Communication from the host, Daniel, deteriorated, including during a city protest when volunteers were told to shelter in place but not checked in on. Daniel grew tired of my questions that he cancelled my remaining dance classes. Despite his unprofessionalism the program is valuable. Thank you Kibera youth, Diana, Elijah & the rest of the team!

Although you were only with us for a few days, the experience turned out to be one of the most disappointing we’ve had with a volunteer. Daniel is trying his best to provide for the children from the Foundation. He and his friends and other local volunteers are super friendly and fun. I had a great time here and I can recommend everyone to go here, to see and experience Kibera in its nature. Daniel tried to help with everything and he made sure that I am okay. We also went to the Amboseli National Park together with his car. Had a good time and it wont be the last time I will be here.

Daniel's simply the best, he's always joking but also takes care of serious business and will help you with personal things, if needed. He's really focused on the organisation and is always looking for ways to improve the office and to help more and more the children that go to the foundation. It was a really nice experience, I did a tour in Kibera, learnt some Swahilli and by the time I left I was already feeling like a local. The team working with Daniel is also very friendly and the children are amazing. I totally recommend this experience if you're planning on voluntering in Kenya.

Our stay with Daniel went wonderfully well. Daniel is a host who listens and cares about our well-being. We were able to participate in his project, which is close to his heart, by creating a library. Daniel is truly passionate about the project and he really makes you want to participate! The residents of Kibera are adorable and the children within the association are very endearing. Daniel, his friends, and the members of the association all work together in a good mood.

Working with the organization has been a truly grounding experience. Daniel is an outstanding guy who cares deeply about helping others and will always make sure you're 100% safe here. Also no more sleeping on the couch, there's an actual bed now. I know this sounds cliché, but this place and the people I've met here had a huge impact on me. This might not be your typical feel good volunteer stay but the work you'll do here truly matters.

The foundation really makes a difference for the children. I had a great time with the children, but also with the other volunteers at the foundation, like the football coach and the dance teacher. I was able to do lots of different activities during my time with the foundation; it was fantastic
