Staying with Mba Ditta, Mas Endik, the communitytheir twin boys in Blitar was wonderful! I loved experiencing authentic "desa" life, including the unique open-air bamboo toilet. Though I signed up for the indigo program—foraging wild plants for their nursery the communitymaking natural-dyed batik tulis from scratch—I also got to volunteer with sea turtle conservation, from incubation to releasing babies into the sea! These were truly relaxing yet active volunteering days. I am so grateful for this experience!

Maya has inspired me to work with her. Maya fulfilled her commitment to come to my home. She is very focused, friendly, and helpful. She helps me manage mangrove and turtle conservation efforts. We plant sea pandan, clean up trash in the conservation area, help cook and prepare meals, and assist with the incubation of turtle eggs and the release of baby turtles into the ocean.

Maya once looked after my twins when I had guests. She was very kind and always had a smile on her face.

Sassia is very friendly and helpful. She helps incubate turtle eggs at the conservation center, cleans the conservation area, helps me cook and prepare meals, and helps me make curtains in the new bedroom. We exchanged a lot of stories and discuss about culture and the education concept in France and Indonesia.

Elina is polite, cheerful, and energetic. She runs 10 km almost every day to enjoy the natural beauty of the village. Elina has planted Ketapang trees in a conservation area. She has contributed to providing oxygen for the earth's population. She has inner beauty, and it shows in how she speaks and acts. Thank you, Elina. Hope to see you again. You are our new family.
