The project is as much a family as any temporary stay is able to offer. From day 1 the permanent residents seem to embrace you with love and respect. After 3 weeks at the project I decided to stay for the full month. I could not get enough of the warmth, the space to develop oneself, the food/postres and the volcanic surroundings with beautiful hikes. At the project you quickly seem to earn the responsibility you deserve, and are very much a valued and useful part of the work team. There is so much enjoyable work to be done! I particularly enjoyed the bioconstruction. So fulfilling 😍.

Jaimy a été un plaisir de l'avoir à la maison ! Il était toujours en train de faire quelque chose : les murs en adobe du nouveau bâtiment, faire du pain pendant des heures et des heures, partager ses compétences culinaires ! Sa gentillesse, son respect et son amour nous manqueront.

I had a wonderful experience at the project. They have a well established volunteer program, so I think it is a great choice (at any time during your work exchange life), but especially for those who have never done a work exchange. Everyone is treated with love and respect, and they are so welcoming to all. They are also flexible and understanding.

I enjoyed volunteering at the project so much that I extended my stay and I'm still here :) The work is very diverse, and I'm still learning something new every day. It's great to be more in touch with nature. Food is also really good and lots of activities are organized outside of working hours. The community vibe is really amazing, thanks to everyone who lives here and the other volunteers. I would definitely recommend this place!

From the moment I arrived at Comun the project I felt extremely welcome from both the longer term residence and the volunteers. the project cultivates acceptance, presence, and commitment to community living and good health. During the short time I was at the project I created lasting relationships and developed healthier, more sustainable habits. The food was delicious, the nature beautiful, and the people kind and accepting. I can't say enough good things about this place. It was very hard to leave and I hope I get to return soon. Thank you to everyone who made it so special.

I absolutely loved my stay at the project and two weeks flew by in no time. Helen, Fera and Nico are amazing hosts, so welcoming, open and caring. The work hours are well organised. The tasks are easy, varied, sometimes physical but nothing you can't do. After work you get plenty of time to enjoy this magical place, it's people and the amazing food. The communal spaces are beautifully decorated and really cozy. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you are looking for a place to learn, reconnect with yourself and others this is it!

I enjoyed my time at the project a lot! It's a great opportunity to learn about sustainability and meet other like minded travellers. I would highly recommend staying for a longer period if you'd like to learn deeply about how to live sustainably. Thanks everyone!

Harjas était une véritable perle à la ferme : il est sociable, au grand cœur et travailleur ! Nous aurions aimé qu'il soit resté un peu plus longtemps !

Everyone here was amazing and so loving, from the other volunteers to everyone permanently living in the community. I was only able to spend two weeks here but I truly feel like we became one big happy family. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a sense of community and to connect to nature and other people who hold the ideals of love and sustainability so high. I will be coming back for a longer stay as soon as I'm able to. I grew and learned so much while I was there. It was such a safe comforting place to be. I can't speak highly enough about the people and the place itself ❤️

Estoy feliz de haber formado parte de un proyecto tan bonito. Cuando viajas sola se agradece encontrar un lugar que sientas que es hogar. Desde el primer día me hicieron sentir parte de la comunidad, hay muy buena organización de las tareas, siempre tienen en cuenta tu opinión y cuentan con las habilidades de cada voluntario. Se me han quedado cortas estas dos semanas allá. Me ha encantado dormir en la casita hobbit, las noches alrededor de la hoguera, el taller de Origami... Pero sobre todo haber conocido a personas tan maravillosas, una conexión que espero dure de por vida. Gracias por todo

Disfruté esta experiencia muchísimo. Nunca he tenido otra experiencia así en que aprendí, conecté y sentí que estuve, de verdad, en una comunidad. Fue una experiencia súper poderosa en mi crecimiento personal. Se trabaja duro, pero las tareas no son súper difíciles ni complicadas y siempre se siente apoyado. También, las tareas cambian cada día así que no se aburre. Siento que tengo una familia en el proyeto y que me ha mostrado que otro mundo es posible. I recommend this experience to anyone looking for earthly connection, community or to learn about another way of life. A beautiful time.
