Ça a été une expérience différente. Gigi m'a fait découvrir des lieux touristiques près d'Ischia di Castro.
Pendant mon séjour, je l'ai aidé dans des activités qu'il avait besoin de réaliser, ainsi que du ménage et du potager.

Ceci a été ma première expérience avec Worldpackers, et c'était incroyable. J'ai séjourné chez Luigi pendant la première semaine de janvier, lorsque le froid et le mauvais temps faisaient partie de notre routine quotidienne. Malgré cela, Luigi est une personne très gentille, flexible et compréhensive. Je n'ai pas pu travailler sur le projet comme prévu à cause du temps, mais il s'est facilement adapté. Luigi est aussi agréable à discuter et partager des conversations significatives, et il m'a emmené visiter des villages voisins. J'ai passé un merveilleux moment et j'ai beaucoup appris sur la culture italienne et toscane.

Ischia di Castro is a small quiet village on the Italian countryside. Very friendly locals and greeting people Ciao goes a long way. Gigi's home is such a tranquil place. I love cooking in the kitchen and having meals outside, it was summer and overlooking lush of greens where the sound of the birds echoes and a distant sound of the river below. Gigi is a poetic man and a realist. A musician and an artist — he's curious and loves learning cultures from people. I learned a lot from him (like how little garlic Italians use in food 😆 ) It's honestly just beyond words to describe everything ✨️

Staying at Luigi's house was an incredible experience! I could practice a lot in Italian, as well as contribute to his studies in Portuguese. He took me to some places nearby and we had wonderful moments of conversation, sharing about our cultures and experiences. The tasks were very easy and simple. Thank you, Luigi, for having me and offering a unique week!

It was a beautiful experience, he is verry friendly and open. You get the rest you need and he lives in a small village with a breathtaking view. He showed me some amazing spots like a hot spring, a waterfall, and beautiful towns. All of them more known to the locals than to tourist wich made it even better. The work hours where verry little and not hard at all. Mostly you prepare dishes from your home country so he can travel a little in his home 😊. You don't have to be great just try your best. I really recomend this! Thank you Gigi for everything 😊

Gigi is an amazing person, and I had a wonderful time with him. The tasks he gave me were much easier than what we had gone through. Gigi loves art and history, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time talking about this topics. We also went on various tours to beautiful villages and hot springs, all of which had a unique sense of tranquility, making this the most memorable trip for me.

In my case I was in a place far from everything, where you can only move around by car. There are no shops or anything nearby. I was alone without other volunteers, only with the host. The idea of the experience was to go record content of nearby towns for his boat business, but there was no boat I had a friend who lived close by, so I asked if I could go spend an afternoon with her. He told me I couldn't do that unless he was part of the outing (coming w us). He asked me if it wasn't disrespectful that he hosted me at his house and I went out with someone else without him. Felt not safe

Une expérience désagréable pour moi aussi. Je n'ai jamais pu montrer ses compétences en montage vidéo et en contenus web. Elle n'a jamais coopéré pour la vie quotidienne à la maison. Je n'ai jamais empêché son plan différent de rejoindre son amie, mais je pense que ce n'était pas normal de lui demander de le faire juste après deux jours d'inactivité, sans coopération pour les tâches ménagères et moi, en tant que chauffeur personnel, n'étant même pas invité à la réunion. Je l'ai trouvé profondément irrespectueux.

La experiencia no es en Matera, es en Sava. La casa está muy alejada: no puedes moverte sin auto. Solicité si podía llevarme a la estación a 1ra hora de mi último día y me dijo q no porque era muy temprano. No tenía en claro cuál era su idea de negocio y eso me hacía sentir confundida: íbamos a sitios que no pertenecían a los itinerarios q él ofrecería. Un día sufrió un disgusto lo cuál tensó el ambiente y me solicitó si podía irme antes porque daba de baja el proyecto. Destaco que fue siempre respetuoso y que un día me acompañó al hospital, tolerando 3 horas de espera, lo cual valoré mucho.

Malheureusement j'attendais une attitude différente de Guadalupe. En plus d'être un échange de compétences professionnelles, Worldpackers est une occasion pour des échanges culturels et une possibilité de vivre de nouvelles expériences en dehors de notre zone de confort. Malheureusement, j'ai eu le sentiment qu'elle n'était jamais dans cet esprit, même si elle a tenté d'offrir ses compétences de base en montage vidéo et en création de contenus. La créativité a besoin de positivité et d'une bonne attitude envers la vie pour fonctionner. Donc je suis très mécontent de ce malentendu.

I spent one week in Matera and it was awesome! Gigi is a great person! If you love art la the guest house is perfect.
