Détails du programme

Welcome to De Maanhoeve — The Moonfarm 🌔 🌕 🌗

We are a retreat center rooted in mindfulness, self-awareness and simple, sustainable living. Each year we receive more than 1,200 retreat-participants. People come here to practise, slow down, reflect and reconnect.

Life here is quiet, grounded and nature-based. It's about balance, sustainability, eco-awareness and reflective space to find out -and be- who we truly are.

We are a good fit for people who:

🌱 feel genuinely drawn to ecological living and working with the soil
🌦️ enjoy physical outdoor work in all seasons
🏡 are comfortable with simplicity and community life
🧘 are curious about mindfulness and inner growth
💛 can work independently and take responsibility

This is not a commercial farm (even though “Moon-farm” is in our name)...

...It is a shared living environment where presence, responsibility and contribution truly matter. We live here as a small core community — Marcel, Jerien and Harm — together with a small dedicated crew who help support the retreat processes that unfold here throughout the year.

Most of your time will be spent outdoors, working in our vegetable garden and helping care for the land. Gardening here is practical, physical and seasonal.

We usually host 1–3 volunteers at the same time.
You stay in your own cozy caravan (tiny house style) on our land.

Activités et horaires

We are primarily looking for spiritual minded people who enjoy outdoor garden work.

Typical division of time:

🌱 Gardening & land care (planting, harvesting, weeding, pruning, greenhouse work) — approx. 65–75%
🏡 Cleaning & basic maintenance
🍽️ Supporting kitchen and retreat preparation when needed

If you have specific skills (woodwork, repair, creative projects), there is space to contribute — but gardening remains the core.

We work in rhythm with the seasons and retreat schedule. Days off are flexible and planned together.

Règles

We live and eat organic vegetarian food.

This is a non-smoking place (including outdoor areas).

We value:

🌿 open communication
🤝 being responsible and showing initiative
⚖️ balance between connection and your own private space

We aim to create a peaceful, grounded atmosphere where both the land and the people are cared for.
