I volunteered at this hostel in Marrakesh and had a positive experience. The manager is honest, very respectful, and takes good care of the volunteers, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore Marrakesh and experience the local culture. I stayed for three weeks and wish I could have spent more time! Faical was very welcoming and provided us information on the local customs, things to do and a weekly allowance for breakfast. The work was easygoing (general housekeeping and cleaning tasks), and usually consisted of an hour cleaning in the morning and a few hours at reception in the afternoon. The hostel is in a great location, a short walk to anything you need, and the sunset view from the rooftop was stunning. Faical was a great host, who cares for the volunteers, guests and their experience. Thanks for a lovely stay! :)

Cette expérience n'était pas ce à quoi je m'attendais, dès le départ je ne me sentais pas à l'aise. Un point: lors de l'entretien ils ne m'ont jamais dit que lorsque j'arriverais je devais signer un contrat, et c'était une surprise pour moi; puis nous avons eu d'autres choses et j'ai parlé à Faisal et nous sommes arrivés à la même conclusion, qu'il n'était pas à l'aise avec moi et c'est pour cela que je suis parti plus tôt, mais en ce qui concerne le planning, ils tiennent ce qu'ils disent. Ils sont situés dans un bon endroit, et le petit-déjeuner qu'ils proposent est dans un très bon restaurant. Mais même si les choses se sont passées ainsi, je leur suis reconnaissant pour tout.

Nous ne voulions vraiment pas vous écrire une mauvaise critique afin de ne pas nuire à votre profil et de ne pas influencer l'avis des autres hôtes sur vous. Jimena est arrivée avec une attitude très passive, elle était fermée d'esprit, toujours dans sa bulle, elle ne voulait pas interagir avec les invités ni avec le personnel. Elle comptait chaque minute supplémentaire qu'elle travaillait. Elle était toujours soit sur son téléphone, soit sur son ordinateur. Elle n'apportait pas une énergie positive à l'endroit. Dès le début, nous avons eu l'impression qu'elle n'avait pas l'intention de terminer son bénévolat avec nous.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour dans l'auberge. Le travail était assez facile, et l'endroit était assez confortable pour y rester, proche des principales attractions et il se trouve aussi à l'intérieur de la médina. Faical a été très serviable et les tâches étaient assez claires et faciles à suivre. Il nous a aussi fourni des vouchers de petit-déjeuner gratuits, ce qui était vraiment gentil de sa part. J'ai eu l'impression de ne pas avoir pleinement vécu l'expérience du travail à la réception, car il n'y avait pas beaucoup de clients pendant mon séjour, ce qui était compréhensible, étant donné que l'auberge venait d'ouvrir à ce moment-là.

El hostel cuenta con una excelente ubicación, se encuentra cerca de atracciones turisticas como la Medina y el zoco, también tiene unas vistas maravillosas y las camas son super confortables. En mi estadía no hubo mucho flujo de huespedes lo que hacía que mis horas fueran estando en la recepción ante cualquier eventualidad pero sin mucho por hacer.. pero en los días que hubieron grandes grupos, pude conocer a una persona increíble que cocinaba para ellos (: Estuve sola como voluntaria la gran mayoría del tiempo. Cualquier duda que tenga algún/a viajero/a, feliz de comentarla

Je peux remarquer d’après votre avis que vous avez passé un excellent moment et que vous avez apprécié faire du bénévolat avec nous. Néanmoins, vous devez savoir qu'une note de 3 est considérée comme négative pour WP, ce qui pourrait nous impacter et probablement vous amener à quitter WP et à ne pas proposer des opportunités de bénévolat similaires pour les voyageurs souhaitant découvrir notre magnifique pays. Prenez ces points en compte et ne comparez jamais des auberges dans différents pays, voire des continents. Réfléchissez simplement à l'expérience que vous avez vécue en général.

The host Faical is a very respectful, responsible and caring person. He was making sure that I was feeling welcomed at any time. The work was a lot but he told me that beforehand. I can recommend this place if you want to explore Marrakesh and get the feeling of living and working in this city. The hostel is very nice and the host is very friendly.

En primera instancia todo fue bien, Faisal fue respetuoso y cumplía con lo señalado, el problema es cuando hay reservas de grupos grandes, en base a mi experiencia no hace una buena organización de los cuartos y puede que te toque dormir en recepción (un lugar abierto en donde pasan huéspedes y con cámaras ) , .. Faisal no acepta críticas constructivas, le sugeri que podría hacer una mejor gestión con los cuartos para que en un futuro no tuviera problemas con voluntarios lo que conllevó a que el pusiera fin a mi voluntariado 12 días antes de lo acordado.

Ce qui vous manquait, c'était la flexibilité et la compréhension; nous vous avons offert une activité gratuite et un voyage gratuit et, lorsque nous avions besoin de votre aide, vous avez répondu avec ingratitude.

In my case, I decided to extend my stay because, at first, I really enjoyed the experience as a volunteer. However, when groups started arriving, the atmosphere changed, and the work became more demanding, which made me feel uncomfortable and exhausted. The lack of communication and some misunderstandings also affected my experience. Finally, in agreement with Faical, I decided to end my stay earlier than planned, as my energy and motivation had changed considerably. I would have liked to share more, but we didn't quite connect. Either way, I'm grateful for the experience. :)

I spent 2 meaningful weeks in the hostel. I work 5 hours per day, normally 1 hours cleaning in the morning and 4 hour reception. The distribution of the time depends on days. The hostel is a nice environment, there is no other staff and less than 8 guests when I stayed there. Faical provided me 35 dirham per week for breakfast, plus I can use the kitchen and some food in the fridge. The hostel is at the prime location of the hostel tourism centre. Near bahia palace.

My time at the hostel was really good. The environment is super chill and familiar. My stay was during the begining of the season, so there were not many guests but to me that was something ok, because I could enjoy times of calmness. The hostel is super well located, the rooms are good and Faical is really nice and respectfull. I felt welcomed like I was home. The tasks were simple and the hours were followed, just be aware that the schedule is split during the day, so a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon. My favorite time of the day was sunset at the rooftop. It's precious!
