Mon temps avec WF a été incroyable. Pendant mon séjour, j'ai pu travailler dans trois lieux différents, chacun d'entre eux ayant de très belles choses à dire. Honnêtement, je n'aurais pas pu choisir un meilleur endroit pour commencer mon parcours de bénévolat. J'ai réussi à faire de nombreuses visites, rencontrer beaucoup de personnes incroyables et travailler dans des serres, apprenant énormément sur la durabilité. Merci, Victoria et Toti, pour la confiance et l'opportunité.

Être en Islande a toujours été un rêve. Chaque moment passé avec la communauté a été incroyable. Conduire, aller à l'épicerie, voir les aurores avec des personnes spéciales… simplement l'une des meilleures expériences de ma vie. Toti et Victoria ont toujours été très attentifs et disposés à aider pour toute question, c'était vraiment incroyable! Je le recommande vivement.

Malheureusement, mon expérience globale a été très décevante. Je suis allé en Islande pour l'expérience Worldpackers avec un visa irlandais valide, mais on m'a refusé l'entrée à la frontière parce que le bénévolat est considéré comme du travail en Islande et je n'avais pas l'autorisation de travail requise. Je comprends que la décision d'immigration elle-même n'était pas sous le contrôle de l'hôte. Cependant, je pense que c'est quelque chose qui aurait dû être clairement expliqué avant mon voyage, car cela a entraîné des dépenses imprévues importantes et je n'ai pas pu participer à l'expérience du tout. Cela a été une expérience merveilleuse d’être avec cette organisation. Ils ont été extrêmement attentifs, ils m’ont offert bien plus que ce à quoi je m’attendais et se souciaient toujours de mon bien-être. Ce fut un réel plaisir de faire du bénévolat avec eux, et j’ai aussi appris des pratiques qui aident l’environnement. Je les recommande vivement😍

If you ever get the chance to embark on a volunteer program with WF, go for it! I learned so much about Iceland, how they are working to become a true green country, about the wild nature and this all at the same time I got to meet volunteers from literally all around the world. I can't express how happy and grateful I will forever be. Victoria and Toti are super chill, easy going leads to learn from! Thank you so much!

I'll be forever grateful for this opportunity. The workdays, facilities & food were 10/10. The people behind WF work very hard to create a + environmental impact, always w/ deep care for human sensitivity & integrity. Toti & Victoria clearly understand that environmental education & awareness are the only real ways to plant seeds of contagious change in the short term, & they do so in the kindest way a volunteer who's alone & far from everything familiar can be treated: w/ warmth, active listening, dialogue & respect. I totally recommend embarking on this adventure & I plan to return soon!

I don't have enough words to describe how amazing this experience was. We stayed in a sustainable community and our task was working in the greenhouse, super fun and great learning experience. But the best part was being able to connect with the community of icelandic people living there, it felt like a big family! Also had the opportunity to meet other volunteers from across the world and learn from their culture too! We felt welcomed from the first moment we arrived, thanks to the person in charge, Victoria. We didn't wanted to leave and hope we are able to come back!

First of all, thank you Victoria for this experience. I'm happy to have come, but I agree with Jimena's comment. I think I spent 10% of my time doing the tasks that were in the contract. Communication in the NGO still has something to be desired. We are often informed in the morning or the evening before what needs to be done the next day. Victoria was a very good, attentive, and gentle listener; she's an amazing woman, but I think she's overwhelmed by the work we entrust to her. I still had a good experience thanks to the people I met, but I wouldn't recommend it either.

I had a disappointing experience with this volunteer program in Iceland. My one-month commitment ended after two weeks due to the organization's lack of professionalism. I was promised a camp leader role, but upon arrival, my activities were changed and never aligned with the signed agreement, despite three follow-ups. The project manager, Victoria, failed to fulfill commitments, and communication was poor. Temporary housing was overcrowded with 11 people, one shower, and two toilets in a space meant for five. Many volunteers shared frustrations about the disorganization. I don't recommend it.
