J'ai passé un excellent moment avec Chris comme hôte. Elle a fourni des repas sains et savoureux, et a pu satisfaire certaines intolérances/préférences. La rivière à proximité était parfaite pour se rafraîchir par les jours chauds. J'ai vu des toucans, des iguanes géants et de nombreuses singes dans le jardin arrière, et de nombreuses paresseuses sur le quai en ville. Le lit n'était pas aussi confortable que ce à quoi je suis habitué, mais ce n'était pas le pire non plus. Change parle anglais très bien et a certainement traité chacun d'entre nous avec respect et gentillesse 😊

Je recommande fortement cette expérience à tous ceux qui souhaitent s\'immerger dans la culture locale de Sarapiquí et du Costa Rica. Avec Christ, j\'ai rencontré des gens incroyables dans la région et nous avons participé à des activités écologiques très amusantes et éducatives. J\'ai pu apprendre énormément sur la durabilité, l\'écologie et la flore et la faune de la région. Sans aucun doute, cette expérience a eu un impact très positif sur moi, et je la recommande vivement. Christ est une personne incroyable: divertissante, aimable, très attentive et toujours disponible pour toute inquiétude ou besoin que j\'avais. De plus, Christ cuisine très bien! Et l\'appartement est assez confortable.

Christ est une âme si belle. J'ai vraiment aimé la rencontrer et je suis très intéressé par ses idées et ses projets pour l'avenir. Elle est très motivée pour créer un changement d'impact et se soucie manifestement profondément des gens. Notre semaine a été un peu chaotique en raison de certaines situations imprévues et je n'ai donc pas réussi à faire une grande partie du travail dont nous avions parlé... toutefois, même compte tenu des difficultés, je suis heureux d'être allé la rencontrer et elle est aussi une excellente professeure d'espagnol; j'ai trouvé facile d'apprendre d'elle et j'ai senti que mon espagnol s'améliorait. La zone est belle aussi. Je la recommanderais!

I stayed with Christ's mom and dad ( Sandra & Angel) at their place and it was an amazing experience. Since the beginning Christ helped me by answering the questions I had, especially, with those questions about how to get to her mom's finca. Now, Sandra and Angel were amazing hosts for me. They made me feel safe and they taught me skills that I can use for myself in the future. Communication was key and I'm grateful that I met them. They are awesome! The place is a little far from the small town, but you can get there by walking and you will see beautiful views! You will love it here!

I spent two amazing weeks with Christ. She is very lovely and welcoming! The tasks are pretty easy and Christ is very flexible about the work and time. As she just moved, we didn't actually did much about permaculture but we helped her with the volunteer's house decoration, build the fence, helped her during the architectural class, and we also had the opportunity to work at her mom's farm. Everything was very nice and interesting. Thank you so much Christ for the time you shared with us, take care ✨️

Christ is an incredible and VERY kind host. The work was very easy, and often fun. And is flexible if you have anything you're committed to. I learned so much in the 10 days I was there! But I will say from an honest point, that not everything that was advertised was immediately available or accessible. And thats mainly due to it not having been updated as she recently moved into a new house. So if there's something specific you're wanting from the experience like dance classes or something, I would ask Christ ahead of time to see if she can make arrangements for it :)

Bonjour ! Toi et Fountine étiez les deux derniers bénévoles de cette saison. J'ai dû arrêter le programme parce que je devais travailler sur un grand projet pour construire un supermarché ; avec cet argent, il a été possible d'acheter un réfrigérateur et une nouvelle machine à laver pour le programme.
J'ai effectué le changement avec le nouveau et maintenant je suis prêt à recevoir plus de bénévoles à nouveau.

I was volunteering for a week on my own at FCR, I will forever value the time I got to spend with Christ. She is an amazing person who you can learn a lot from, assisting her with her design project in the city and then spending lots of time in nature was the perfect balance for me. Her pets are so sweet, I miss her two dogs Frida and Picasso !

This was my first Worldpackers experience as well as my first time traveling alone outside of my home country, and I could not of asked for a batter experience. Kris, the host, is such a joyful, kind, smart women and was amazing with helping me with transportation and any questions/concerns that I had, and the food was delicious. She taught me a lot about Costa Rica, and helped me improve my Spanish. I learned so much with this experience, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves nature and animals.

Termine participando de otro proyecto dentro de los de Christ y no este, pero fue hermoso. La familia es super recibidora, la finca es hermosa y la comida de Sandra riquísima. Fuimos a una catarata, al rio, aprendí un poco sobre cabras, tuve la oportunidad de montar a caballo y el trabajo fue divertido. Sandra, Angel y Ronald hicieron que una sola semana fuera una experiencia inolvidable, al igual que Saga y Claudia, voluntarias con las que compartí la estadía. Mil abrazos para todos y para Perla, King y Escapista 🫶🏼

During this experience, I was able to learn a lot and take a break from the constant movement of the contemporary world. Although I did not stay as long as I would have hoped to, I would have liked to participate more in giving back to the community such as teaching English. Nevertheless, I learned a lot and it was so rejuvenizing being able to connect with nature
