Overall, I had a good experience at the hostel, it is in the heart of Lisbon and you can meet a lot of different people. However, there isnt much to do in the 8h shifts as the permanent employees mostly take care of everything and I ended up being quite bored during my shift. But the 3 days off were useful to travel around Portugal. The kitchen is quite small and in the corridor next to the bathroom which made it hard to cook sometimes. The party concept is underway and we had one party during my stay which was a lot of fun, look forward to coming back when the party really gets started!

The hostel was my first Worldpackers experience and I have had a lovely time these past two weeks. The hostel is situated in a great location, close to restaurants and clubs. The work included checking guest in/out and laundry; Summer and João were especially helpful in explaining Ammenitiz and other processes. The three days off allowed me to explore Lisbon and beyond. Thank you to Anne, Angel and Jùlia who went the extra mile to welcome me and ensure I understood the laundry!!

My experience in the the hostel has been such a discovery, as my first trip with worldpackers I felt very welcomed and given the confident to learn and make my own contributions aswell. Sameer, as the reception chief is such a nice and encouraging person. definitely would recommend this experience to anybody who wants to have a good time in Lisbon :)

I had a great time in Lisbon! The girls and the team is great. Sumeer and Alex were such great people and resources during my stay. The party aspect is still in development and the days can seem long, but the other people and the city are amazing.

All the volunteers at rhino party hostel were fun, lovely, sociable and like minded! The reception work was reasonable and the hours were always stuck to. The location was perfect to explore Lisbon and all the places around Lisbon as well. Sumeer and MJ made sure I knew what I was doing when I was volunteering. It's a great way to see Lisbon and meet amazing people!

It has an undeniably wonderful location. My experience was not very welcoming, in terms of interpersonal experience, I missed it. There's a lot of pressure to deliver the work in random ways they ask us, but could prepare a better infrastructure to host us, they put us in a room for 6 people, without supervision, no cleaning. I also think they need to think more about the experience for volunteers, and not just expect us to be workers. It has 4 floors, the reception is on the third floor and one of the things they want us to do for long hours is to be available to go up and down frequently...

Bonjour Danilo, on retire de l'expérience ce que l'on y met... comme d'autres bénévoles qui étaient là en même temps que vous, ont eu des expériences incroyables (il suffit de lire les autres avis). Nous sommes très clairs sur les tâches et les fonctions du poste avant que vous acceptiez de faire du bénévolat avec nous; malheureusement, les trois premières semaines de votre bénévolat, vous n'étiez pas engagé dans les tâches, et ce n'est qu'en la dernière semaine que vous avez montré une grande amélioration et aussi l'implication avec le reste de l'équipe. OUI - nous avons 4 étages, et OUI - nous aimons aider nos invités avec leurs bagages pour leur offrir une excellente expérience avec nous !! Nous précisons également que la pièce du volontaire (votre espace privé personnel) doit être nettoyée et organisée par les bénévoles (nous ne touchons pas ni ne déplaçons les effets personnels).

Nous sommes désolés d'apprendre cela. Nous n'avons jamais exprimé ni ressenti de négativité envers vous, et nous sommes donc tristes d'apprendre que vous vous êtes senti(e) ainsi.

Comme vous pouvez le constater sur notre profil, nous avons d'incroyables avis d'autres worldpackers, y compris des bénévoles qui étaient là en même temps que vous.
Malheureusement, comme nous avons eu plusieurs problèmes avec vous et après de nombreuses conversations pour tenter de rectifier la situation, vous avez quand même choisi de faire vivre des expériences négatives à nos invités, nous n'avons pas eu d'autre choix que de vous demander de quitter le bénévolat plus tôt.
C'est dommage car nous avons toujours eu des expériences aussi incroyables avec d'autres bénévoles.
Nous vous souhaitons tout le meilleur.

De nombreux worldpackers ont postulé à ce poste récemment. L'hôte ne pourra probablement pas répondre à toutes les candidatures, nous vous recommandons donc de postuler également auprès d'autres hôtes de notre communauté et pas seulement celui-ci :)
