I spent a month in Goa volunteering and fell in love with India. As a very unprepared solo traveler getting around and exploring was very easy and I can say I felt safe 100% of the time as a young woman at the hostel. The amazing people that work in the kitchen, at the bar, and of course Ashwin always made me feel safe and taught me so much. I'm truly grateful I got to experience Goa from this perspective. A month was the perfect amount of time while I got to experience Goa just before monsoon season. the hostel is always a big party and a big family ❤️.

It was our pleasure to have Tessa as part of our hostel family. She is a beautiful soul connecting with people around her & leaving an impact wherever she goes. A whole street was sad when she left the hostel and that tells a lot about her character. I would love to have her again and would recommend anyone 100% if she ever applies in your positions. Would love to spent more time during her next trip and one visit to chapora is a must when you come back :) Good luck with your studies & see you ❤

Sofia was a good team member at the start. But then got non professional especially with guests as reported. If she had any issues with other volunteers, it was easy to let them know right then, than to let us know now. Outgoing and extrovert, but would have been nice to communicate with manager and volunteers as they were close. 3/5

My experience at this hostel was generally quite pleasant. I met wonderful people, the staff team was great and I have good memories. If you want to meet people it's definitely the right place for you and if you're looking to party it's the perfect spot. However there is a real communication problem. For example without being informed in advance, I ended up working 14 days in a row (with no days off) during the holidays and my work shift where often sent very late at night for the following days, which makes it difficult to plan activities outside of the volunteering

Marin wanted to leave early than the agreed dates of volunteering and hence we had a little issue with timings of off days. We require volunteers to help with during the peak days. He was around Christmas and New year and was asking off during the busy days of hostel to party which was not a responsible choice.
Usually the schedule is set the previous day, but have discussed with the manager to get weekly schedule for volunteers from now on.

Love Bucketlist! I had such a fun month here, Ashwin & Vaibhav run a professional and fun hostel and I was so happy to be a volunteer there. A great place to meet international and Indian travellers & I've come away with so many new friends. The work was in the bar and is very easy if you've worked behind bars before or easy to pick up if you haven't. The only thing I would say is there is quite an emphasis at times on promoting a party, which at times can be quite socially exhausting if you're not in the right mood for it, but I was easily dragged out these moods by guests lol! Recommend!

I had a really good time volunteering at the hostel. Vibav and the rest of the team are all extremely helpful and supportive when settling into the role. It's a great way to meet people and see Goa, without spending much money. However it would be nice to have to schedules slightly earlier then the night before. Overall it was a great experience!

I loved my first week there, the bartending they expect from you is very simple and Ashwin is very friendly. It was the most lively hostel of the area and everyone was looking to socialize. I chose to leave about one week earlier, because I started to feel like 6 h per day in exchange to accommodation and free breakfast-lunch, that I kept missing because my shift ended at 2 am, was not worth it. A premade work schedule would help us know our shifts and days-off in advance and avoid working for 7+ days straight.

This is home away from home, you will have so much fun meeting international travelers and connecting with the goa culture. The shifts were very easy and chill, the food was also very good and the party atmosphere is a reflection of what goa is about. All the beaches are a few minutes walking distance and you will always have enough time for you to enjoy the bucketlist life. I highly recommend it if you look for a western style experience while you travel through the universe of India.

Where do I even start ! Wow what an amazing place to meet people from all over the world It's a very social hostel and you make loads of friends the staff are all super friendly and helpful it's bar work so you get go learn the basics if you don't already know which is a good skill to take away from this experience. I'm sure I will be back one day ! I'd highly recommend voulenteering here

Note this is a party hostel. If you are looking to party, socialise and immerse yourself in the local culture then this is a great opportunity for you. Make sure to discuss with your host before what are your expected shifts and day to day role responsibilities. The room I was first put in was really basic but you can always upgrade your room for a small fee to have a clean private apartment. I would recommend this if you want some comfort. Overall, host is very nice, interesting guy that has travelled all over and has great stories.

Had a great time hosting Meg. Could't spend much time when she was around as I was travelling. But the short interactions we had was great. She was responsible and had an amazing personality, perfect for the hostel vibe. Would definitely recommend her and wishing her a safe travels ahead!

This was just insanely fun. If you're looking to have a home base to meet new faces, have interesting conversations, learn about Goa, laugh, and be in a positive environment, this is it.
