Cet endroit est parfait si vous aimez la nature. Les environs sont magnifiques et très paisibles, et vous aurez beaucoup de temps libre. Il y a d'autres jeunes voyageurs internationaux travaillant dans l'établissement, ce qui peut créer une ambiance amusante et sociale.
L'emplacement est très isolé des villes et de la vie quotidienne, mais cela en fait aussi un endroit idéal pour se déconnecter, se détendre et recharger ses batteries. Les tâches sont assez faciles et comprennent principalement le ménage, aider à l'entretien des chambres et assister au service d'accueil.

+ Les tâches à effectuer étaient simples et clairement communiquées ; il y a aussi un planning de quarts de travail. + Les propriétaires expliquent les tâches aux employés ou aux bénévoles pour les nouveaux arrivants. + Les environs sont très calmes et ruraux. - La propreté des hébergements pour les bénévoles est un désastre ; après une infestation de punaises de lit dans la chambre voisine, j'ai décidé de partir. - Les propriétaires prennent à peine au sérieux la propreté et l'ordre dans l'établissement mais essaient de s'en occuper. - L'établissement est très isolé. Il n'y a pas de transport en commun. Les propriétaires proposent un trajet jusqu'au supermarché le plus proche une à deux fois par semaine.

Nous sommes restés chez l'hôte pendant deux semaines et nous avons passé un super moment. Tout le monde là-bas était très aimable et sympathique. Le travail était très détendu. Nous avons nettoyé les chambres de l'hôte et les toilettes des campers; lorsque des clients étaient présents, nous aidions à la cuisine et nous faisions la lessive. Nous avions beaucoup de temps libre et le travail était la plupart du temps flexible. Notre hébergement était un lodge avec notre propre salle de bains, ce qui était génial. La nourriture était fournie et nous pouvions ajouter quelques souhaits à la liste des courses. Nous pouvions utiliser la cuisine tout le temps et le soir nous mangions ensemble. Nous avons adoré rester là-bas!

I had a great time at the host, mainly because of the other backpackers who ran the host. We had a lot of fun together and I would say that your stay really depends on these connections. The nature in the surrounding area is beautiful, but unfortunately there aren't too many different hiking trails or paths. However, if you enjoy the slow life in a remote location, this is definitely a great opportunity for volunteer work! The work is super relaxed and depends on how busy the season is, I had lots of free time in winter. Many thanks to Ralph & Meg, the owners, who welcomed me so warmly.

Really enjoyed my time at the host; the people who work/volunteer there are friendly and easy to get on with. The work is straight forward as described in the description. It was nice to be close to nature and have a lovely view of the mountains. It's a lot different from the city but you soon adapt to it.

I had an amazing time volunteering at the host! The experience was incredibly rewarding. I loved being part of such a dedicated and friendly team. Everyone was supportive and passionate, which made working together a joy. The natural beauty of the host made it even more special, and I'm grateful for the chance to contribute to such a welcoming environment. I had a great time at the host! The work and hours were fair and simple. It was east to meet and get to know the other travellers working there, as well as people passing through. The area is beautiful with some bush walks nearby and a river to swim in. The location is a little isolating so it may be better for someone with a car who can explore the nearby area and towns, but is still relaxing and fun without one.

Pendant mon séjour, les tâches consistaient principalement en ménage et en service au restaurant lorsqu'il y avait des clients. Avec très peu de réservations, il y avait beaucoup de temps libre/pas de travail. L'hôte venait plusieurs fois par jour pour effectuer l'enregistrement ou nous donner un nouveau travail, mais principalement nous portions les tâches entre le personnel. La plupart des autres membres du personnel étaient internationaux et travaillaient pour leurs 88 jours; ils semblaient s'installer dans les rôles principaux, tandis que moi je faisais de petits bouts ici et là lorsque c'était nécessaire. Les jours de repos consistaient à bronzer dehors ou vous aviez peut-être la possibilité d'aller en ville avec l'un des hôtes, cela se ferait en même temps qu'un trajet pour faire des courses. Wifi limité.

Had a great time at the host, met some great friends and the work was relatively easy. unfortunately we had the flood during my last week and a half at the host so it was very quiet but brought us all closer as friends. loved walking around the grounds! :)

It was a nice place out in the nature, would probably recommend to someone who wants to get away for a bit and enjoy the quiet. The nature is really nice and all the people I worked with were lovely it just can get a bit boring and isolating at times as there isn't that much to do
