C'était vraiment l'une des plus belles expériences de ma vie. Je ne peux honnêtement pas recommander assez de passer du temps à Bondowosso.
Han est l'une des personnes les plus incroyables que j'aie jamais rencontrées. Il est gentil, généreux, et s'assure constamment que tu te sentes à l'aise et heureux ! Il prête toujours attention aux petits détails pour que tu te sentes chez toi ❤️🩹
Sa famille est adorable, et nous avons même eu notre propre chambre privée ! Le paysage est à couper le souffle et le travail est détendu, les enfants sont si gentils et désireux d'apprendre. Nous ne sommes restés que 14 jours, mais nous aurions aimé rester un an !!
Nous avons créé des liens pour la vie et nous avons tellement ri 🙏

J'ai passé un très bon moment avec Hans et sa famille. Ce fut très agréable de travailler avec eux pour enseigner l'anglais aux enfants. Ils se sont assurés que je mangeais bien et que j'étais rassasié, et la chambre était très belle et confortable. Nous avons également fait d'autres choses très agréables, comme rencontrer ses amis et faire des promenades. Je recommanderais à d'autres personnes d'y participer.

Coming to Bondowoso was really the highlight of my bacpacking-trip, and I am forever grateful for all the fantastic experiences, and all the amazing people I got to meet!☺️☺️ Han was the best host ever, so welcoming. He showed me around town, and I got to meet his friends and family, who were all so kind🫶 I felt like a part of the family, and I will try my best to come back and visit someday❤️ Truly a one of a kind experience, and something I will never forget!

I really enjoyed getting to know Hans and sitting in on his private tutoring sessions. Hans is a very welcoming, generous, and kind person. This not only shows through his words, but also his actions. He really cares about his students learning and delivering high quality teaching. While volunteering, Hans took me around Bondowoso, around the village, he's made me feel very comfortable and he's very approachable. I hope that someday, Hans can visit me in the USA when he visits.

I had so much fun with Han and his family! They were all so welcoming and very kind. I felt right at home and anything I needed he made sure to get it for me. Teaching the students was also so much fun. I felt like I learned a bit in class as well. Would highly recommend coming here if you want to see local life in Java :)

Sativa est une excellente enseignante.. tellement patiente dans l'enseignement, tellement polie dans ses échanges et tellement aimable dans ses actes. Nous avons vraiment une excellente compréhension interculturelle. Je recommande cette fille pour faire du bénévolat avec vous. Vous aurez sûrement une excellente bénévole 😊

Where to even begin.💛 All round BEAUTIFUL experience. Mr Zen, Han & the rest of the incredible family are the warmest, kindest people who go above and beyond for your stay. The most authentic experience filled with love, so much laughter & growth for travellers wanting to fully immerse in true East Javanese culture. The job Mr Zen & Mr Han do for the students of Bondowoso is spectacular and the lovely nature of all the students reflects this. We made friends for life from this experience & we couldn't be more grateful. If you get the chance to stay with this family, seize the opportunity. 🥹❤️

It was a tremendous experience!! From the beginning the family made me feel comfortable and happy, they worried that I had everything that was needed. They also worried about extra activities such as getting to know the surroundings, showing me their customs and local food. As for the classes, the children are very participatory and wiling to learn, there is nothing better than being able to deliver knowledge and that they are well received. It was a very enriching experience, I recommend it 100%, it was an opportunity to improve my English and get to know a beautiful culture.

It was an amazing two weeks spent here! The family took you in as their own! The nan cooks the most amazing food, making sure you have eaten haha. Mr Han the host always made sure you were okay and nothing was ever too much to ask; true gentlemen. Mr Zen was a kind hearted man, always giving his best to everyone! Nothing was ever to much to ask! Would recommend this to anyone for a heartwarming 2 weeks with the best family, and dive into to the local culture trying new foods and most importantly being given the opportunity to help children progress in their English talking skills!
