Je suis très heureux d’avoir été bénévole à HTB. Glenn est un excellent hôte, très positif et energique. Il m’a montré des choses intéressantes sur l’auberge et m’a emmené dans des endroits comme Beverley et Bempton. J’ai vécu le Sesh Festival, roulé dans sa camionnette sympa et regardé le rugby pour la première fois. Les tâches incluent accueillir les invités, organiser les lits et aider au nettoyage et à la blanchisserie. Glenn a toujours été d’une grande aide lorsque je ne comprenais pas quelque chose. l’auberge est si belle, avec des musées et des parcs qui m’ont fait me sentir chez moi. La Marina Docks était mon endroit préféré. Je recommande vivement cet hôte à d’autres volontaires.😊

I worked with Glenn at the hostel for around 5 and a half weeks! It was a good experience with Glenn and the other volunteer, Joe, being very friendly. The work itself isn't very hard, as it's only a small hostel, so there aren't many beds or bathrooms to clean each day. In terms of admin/reception, it's very simple and anyone can learn it quickly! Glenn was very helpful in showing me around the local area, and the next town over. I spent my time there bunking in the female dorm. I would work here again. :) see you guys around!! Glenn is a really great host, super positive even under stressful situations. From Sunday evening to Thursday morning I was in charge as he lives an hour away, I called him a couple of times when some of the guests requested room changes but he was quick to respond. The hostel itself, the hostel, is located in the heart of the cities old town, which is useful because there are many shops and markets close by. I also had a private room which was comfortable, I still used ear plugs though for the noise of the city. I shared the wash facilities, toilet and kitchenette.
