J'ai vécu une expérience merveilleuse avec Girls Can Lead. Je suis arrivé(e) préparé(e) avec le programme et les activités, mais avoir Jay avec moi a été essentiel pour adapter tout sur le terrain et créer un environnement dynamique avec les filles. J'ai vraiment pris plaisir à me connecter avec elles et j'ai trouvé que les deux semaines étaient très enrichissantes. L'hébergement a été plus difficile pour moi, j'ai donc choisi de déménager ailleurs par la suite. J'ai partagé ce retour avec l'organisation, et ils ont été très à l'écoute et envisageront des améliorations pour les futurs bénévoles.

Les enfants sont merveilleux à côtoyer et très désireux d’apprendre. Ils sont vraiment heureux lorsque quelqu'un vient passer du temps avec eux. La plupart des enfants n'ont pas de stylo pour écrire. Si possible, ce serait incroyable si vous pouviez apporter des stylos 🖊️ ou des cahiers d'exercices vides dont vous n'avez plus besoin. C'est une cause significative, mais elle bénéficierait d'une organisation et d'une communication plus solides. À l'avenir, il pourrait être utile que l'organisateur soit plus activement impliqué avec l'école. Assure-toi que les besoins soient clairement compris et rends le soutien encore plus efficace. Me and my sister had an amazing time in this volunteer. We stayed with a local family there which totally made the difference. They were lovely and attentive at all times. At the school, you can organize your schedule and help in any way! We did some lessons and also decoration for the classrooms. The staff at the school was kind and welcoming. Truly recommendable experience if you like kids and want to live the authentic Gambian life. And thanks to Ebrima for arranging it all. See you again!🥰

It was a very rewarding experience. Totally immersed in the local culture. The family welcomed me as one of their own and were attentive to me and my needs at all times. They made my experience truly unforgettable. About the stay at the school, the teachers and the children were always very friendly and I had a great time with them. We also did a workshop for the girls in the community which was wonderful. I sincerely recommend the organization Experience as they da lot of social impact work. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to do this volunteer work and to have been a part of it.
