Elen et sa famille ont été incroyablement aimables et m'ont fait me sentir bienvenu même avant mon arrivée. Elen est très attentionnée et bienveillante, les cours sont faciles à suivre, et les étudiants étaient si doux et amicaux avec moi. Je recommande vivement ce programme de bénévolat!

Mon expérience avec Mme Elen, sa famille et la Academy était incroyable. Même avant d'arriver à Bondowoso, Elen était communicative et informative; lorsque je suis arrivé, elle m'a instantanément fait sentir comme famille. Je peux dire sincèrement que je quitte cette expérience avec une nouvelle amie nommée Elen. Son mari est si gentil et son fils est si espiègle avec tant d'énergie. Les étudiants de sa Academy sont tous si accueillants et désireux d'apprendre. Cette expérience a été fluide et si enrichissante. Le domicile d'Elen était incroyable; elle m'a fourni le deuxième étage exclusivement pour moi avec ma propre chambre et ma propre salle de bains.

Les enfants sont très mignons et aiment passer du temps avec nous. Vous découvrez la ville de Bondowoso et pouvez aller prendre un café ou vous promener dans les rues. Beaucoup d'habitants vous demandent des photos/ veulent savoir d'où vous venez et sont intéressés à discuter avec vous. Les cours ont lieu l'après-midi/ en soirée, donc vous avez les matinées pour vous reposer et explorer. Elen vous laisse vous reposer si vous en avez besoin et vous permet d'enseigner de la manière que vous souhaitez et de créer vos propres présentations PowerPoint/ leçons pour les enfants. Vous allez manquer les enfants à mesure que vous développez des relations proches avec certains et même recevoir de la nourriture/ des friandises des parents :)

Elen is a great host. As a person she is fun and kindhearted and understanding. As a teacher she is very patient with the kids and passionate about teaching English. I have been welcomed with so much kindness from her and her family. She arranged a very nice private room for me, spacious and clean. The food she and her mom cooked for me was delicious. I definitely recommend this volunteering experience not only for teaching English but also living like a local experience.

My experience in Bondowoso has been quite something, especially considering that it was my first time in Asia. I've been immersed in the local culture from the very first day. The school is an amazing way to get to know the kids and even their parents. Last, but not least, Elen has been very welcoming even before my arrival. She's very caregiving and respectful. It's has been an amazing experience!

A volunteering stay in Bondowoso is exactly what volunteering abroad is all about. The kids are great and you'll get a cultural exchange of all the little city of Bondowoso has to offer. Elen will show you some nearby local sights and I even spent our day out with the whole family. The kids warm up to you and are super sweet and a fun experience teaching many english levels. Would definitely recommend

My experience in this volunteer program was the school. I gained a deep cultural understanding of the people here, their traditions, and beliefs. I also had the pleasure of seeing beautiful places, tasting local foods, talking to locals, and teaching English to children and teenagers — which, honestly, has been a beautiful and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this volunteer program not only for the cultural exchange but also because of Helen, the host, and her family. They made me feel like part of their family from the very first moment with their warmth and kindness

I have been very welcome into this volunteering even before I would step in Java. It's located in a small city but very close to the nature so I feel very relaxed. The students are very different so it keeps the daily routine very interesting. Elen was always available to show me around or just chatting about anything and her family made me feel part of it even tho they can't speak English. I really enjoyed the short time I spent there. Thank you.

Me suis amusé avec les étudiants et j'ai apprécié faire connaissance avec eux. J'ai dû préparer des présentations PowerPoint et des fiches d'exercices pour soutenir les cours. Je faisais principalement les cours seul, j'ai donc dû faire preuve de créativité pour trouver des activités à faire pendant une heure ! Vous devez savoir qu'il n'y a pas de douche, donc le seau et le réservoir d'eau sont la solution. En ce qui concerne la nourriture, elle reste parfois sur le comptoir pendant un certain temps; cela peut être difficile pour les estomacs qui ne sont pas habitués. Bondowoso est une petite ville, donc les activités sont d'aller au salon de beauté, au marché et au cinéma. Elen est une personne très sympathique.

Vous ne m'avez pas dit au sujet de la nourriture que j'ai gaspillée, parce que vous ne l'avez pas mangée. Désolé si certaines expériences ici n'ont peut-être pas répondu à vos attentes.
