I was a good experience overall, here are a few key points : - it's a bit frustrating not to be able to really bond with the children (we are not allowed to carry or cuddle them) and I do think they lack affection, which sometimes made me really sad. - there is often a « zoo like » atmosphere as many visitors come all the time and take videos and pictures of the children (and obviously volunteers) that are here. But ANYWAY. I noticed this the first week and chose to stay as I would give what I could, my energy, my sunshine and smiles and anything they would give me :)

The host, Lucy is a living Angel, she's just fantastic. Accomodation is not supplied but Lucy has researched some great places to stay for $10Au per night, I loved Semadi living. Lucy lives in England and is the coordinator for all the amazing volunteers. The orphanage and what we do there melts your heart every single day but it is also super tough. The way they run the orphanage is super tough. Know that when you help here you are helping broaden a child's mind, environment and life experiences. And with Lucy as our leader, the small changes, will one day become big changes. Mwah

I have spent the most meaningful two months of my life volunteering at this incredible the host. From the very first day, I felt embraced like family always greeted with warm smiles and endless kindness. The staff are compassionate people who care about the babies and make everyone feel at home. The babies themselves are absolutely lovely, each with their own unique charm, and they fill your heart with joy. The orphanage is a nurturing place filled with love and care, but they need help to keep providing for these little ones.If you're looking for a way to make a real difference, volunteer ♥️

Lucy, Mr Burhan, Nando and his family are amazing. I had no idea before how difficult it could be to run the host. Every each of them does an amazing job, with endless love and patience. Their true love towards the children makes them happy and calm. Amazing community, wonderful children. I'm really glad for this opportunity. Thank you Lucy!

Working at the host as a volunteer is a real opportunity. In practical terms, the timetable is flexible, and if something goes wrong you'll always find someone to listen to you. Being part of the development of the children at this orphanage is really rewarding and teaches us a lot. The hardest part was leaving the children, who are really very endearing, but we know that they are in good hands.

Hello, I participated in this volunteer mission with the host along with two friends of mine. We are French, and we found it incredible. I felt that the children are extremely endearing and deeply loved by those around them. It was a true life lesson for us. A lot of help and support is provided by the visitors. Thank you to Lucy, who was always there to guide us. I wish them nothing but happiness and wonderful things in their lives. 💜

This was a life changing experience, one of the best of my life. These kids will now live forever in my heart. Lucy is amazing and she made such a great job and always trying her best for the good of the babies. I would recommend this experience to someone who really wants to make the difference and help. The shifts were exactly as Lucy described and it's perfect because you still have a lot of free time to visit the host.
