I spent a week with Dheeraj and his family volunteering at the small school in Harayana. As a young female solo traveller I felt 100% safe and respected.I had the opportunity to connect with the children, they're English is limited but they were all very enthusiastic to practice and learn new words. I took the English lessons for all ages from 4-17 years old, and the teachers often assisted the lessons and helped when needed. They were all very kind and welcoming. I had the opportunity to immerse in the local culture, attend temples, wear sairee and explore local markets and Delhi. 100% rec
