We had a great time at the hostel. It's a really social spot and so it's easy to make friends as there are different events every night. The work we signed up for wasn't what we ended up doing, we signed up to paint murals but instead ended up doing reception. But It was easy and the people were nice, it was a good way to get to know everyone staying there! It is now a home from home for us and we can't wait to go back

I had an awesome time volunteering at the hostel! The team - Manza, Chenon, Michenne and Kumar were all lovely and the travellers I met there became friends for life. the hostel has a really great social atmosphere with lots of events happening and a fun, inclusive atmosphere. Great place to spend some time volunteering :)

I was in here for short time but already felt like part of family. It's a social hostel. Manager Manza created a great place. There was more volunteers. I like the bunk. It's clean and tidy always. Family dinners on Wednesday is just perfect. I will definitely ask them again to volunteer if I am coming to Sri Lanka back. Working time is flexible you can schedule with Manza. Lots of party place near by. So don't think twice just come experience this great place.

The hostel was the best hostel where I've stayed so far and I loved painting murals here. I could do the work anytime I wanted and I had plenty of free time to learn surfing, or hang out with friends. Our room was very comfortable (we had AC and hot water). the hostel was very chill, everybody was friendly and we had programs like volleyball, games, family dinner and parties every day!! Thank you Manza and Chenann for welcoming me here and the opportunity to create some artworks in the hostel. It was an unforgettable time and I would definitely come back here!!

Il y a eu une petite malentendu avec l'hôte au début, ce qui a été bien géré et l'hôte a été flexible et accommodant. Pour d'autres raisons, j'ai fini par faire du bénévolat pour seulement 1,5 semaine au lieu de quatre. L'hôte a été très compréhensif à ce sujet. Dans l'ensemble, j'ai eu une bonne expérience de bénévolat et l'auberge de surf est très sociable avec de belles personnes !!

J'ai passé un excellent séjour dans l'auberge de surf. L'auberge est assez propre. La cuisine n'est pas très bonne et elle n'est pas non plus entièrement équipée. Il n'y a aucun moyen de réchauffer les repas, sauf avec une bouilloire. Le réfrigérateur du personnel ne fonctionne pas non plus. Les chambres sont assez propres et bien rangées, mais globalement l'auberge a besoin d'un peu plus d'entretien. J'ai travaillé bien plus que ce que décrivait le blog de worldpackers et pas pour grand-chose, pour être honnête. À un moment, j'ai géré les réseaux sociaux; il y avait socialhost et la réception en même temps, pour un seul lit. L'hôte doit être bien meilleur pour former son équipage. Pour moi, c'était incroyable grâce aux gens.

Ça a été une excellente expérience de rencontrer d'autres voyageurs et des artistes muraux, et nous avons ensemble créé de magnifiques fresques. La chambre où je suis resté n'avait pas de porte, seulement des rideaux, et parfois l'hôte et d'autres personnes faisaient des fêtes juste derrière le rideau, ce qui n'était pas confortable par moments. Au début, nous avons eu quelques problèmes de communication avec l'hôte. Le surf n'était pas gratuit et il n'y avait pas de yoga. Alors attendez-vous à payer pour toutes les activités et la nourriture lorsque vous y allez. Et il n'y avait pas beaucoup d'intimité dans la chambre. À part ça, c'était amusant de faire un peu d'art et de commencer à apprendre le surf. Si vous aimez faire la fête, vous allez adorer!

My experience at the hostel began positively: welcoming vibe, light tasks (off-season), and plenty of time to explore. the hostel was clean, with a great social space to meet others. Unfortunately, I left earlier than planned due to an uncomfortable situation that, as a woman, made me feel uneasy. I believe every volunteer deserves a respectful and safe environment, and certain comments simply shouldn't happen in a professional setting. I appreciated that when I voiced my concerns, they were supportive and understanding of my decision.

De nombreux worldpackers ont postulé à ce poste récemment. L'hôte ne pourra probablement pas répondre à toutes les candidatures, nous vous recommandons donc de postuler également auprès d'autres hôtes de notre communauté et pas seulement celui-ci :)
