Dans l'ensemble, nous avons eu une expérience assez bonne. Le lieu est absolument époustouflant, l'île est vraiment un rêve et le point culminant de ce bénévolat. Le lieu en soi était correct et les propriétaires sont très jeunes, ce que nous avons apprécié. Cependant, l'organisation est assez mauvaise. La communication sur les postes était souvent peu claire, donc les futurs bénévoles devraient poser des questions très précises à l'avance. Vous avez beaucoup de temps libre, ce qui peut être un avantage si vous recherchez une expérience lente et détendue. D'un autre côté, vous ne vous sentez pas vraiment faire partie d'une équipe ou d'un projet, et la propreté pourrait être améliorée.

I fell in love with Mpai and the island during my time at the hostel. It was an incredible experience working at the hostel, Oli and Katie have done an amazing job. The work was clear and enjoyable and I had plenty of time to explore the beauty of the island.

Katie and Oli were the most amazing hosts, who through their welcoming and supportive dedication to the hostel atmosphere, made us have an amazing time volunteering at the hostel. They made our experience such a fun one, whilst their professionalism kept the job running smoothly and easily. We have made memories we will never forget, and thanks to their great efforts with the development of the hostel, we have no doubt their potential for next season will be even better. Would 100% recommend to anyone, and a big thank you to Katie + Oli for such a fun 2 weeks that made Cambodia so special!

Volunteering at the hostel has been a true highlight during my travel. Katie and Oli are such welcoming hosts, a found myself surrounded by a group of friends with other volunteers and guests, really heartwarming. The island is the perfect location if you are looking for a calm, wild nature and cozy place to discover and meet locals. This small island feels like a community and what a privilege that have experienced being a part of it. I will definitely come back and never forget this experience or the people met, thanks ☀️❤️

I loved my time at the hostel! Katie and Oli are fantastic hosts who are always looking to improve the experience for both volunteers and guests. The shifts never feel like "work" because the atmosphere is so relaxed and enjoyable. There's a perfect balance between social and peaceful, never feeling too busy. There's plenty of free time to explore the island—whether it's relaxing on the beach, trying out local restaurants, or going on boat trips. I highly recommend volunteering here to anyone looking for a fun and relaxed experience! 🥰🥰

We had a great time volunteering for Katie and Ollie, they were super friendly and welcoming. Over the 3 weeks we made some fantastic memories together!! They guided us through the first couple of days making us feel confident and ready for the shifts/duties. They were also really insightful about the village and Cambodian culture, helping us jell with M'Pai Bay. They were very easy going contributing to the Hornbills chill and relaxed vibes, and provided lots of travel tips. Volunteering here is a great experience for young backpackers and we would highly recommend :) :) :)
