Jithubutu Social and Cultural Centre
Fare volontariato con noi significherà interagire a tempo pieno con i nostri giovani: questo sarà il tuo obiettivo principale. Questo significa che imparerai molto da loro e che sarai completamente immerso nella vita tanzaniana. Il tuo compito si svolgerà in un ambiente pieno di musica, danza e buone vibrazioni. Puoi partecipare al nostro corso di danza serale quotidiano, nonché alle altre attività, come lezioni di Kiswahili, sessioni di spagnolo… e saremo lieti di mostrarti i luoghi più interessanti della città e dei suoi dintorni.
Il nostro staff nel nostro progetto è giovane, attivo e desideroso di migliorare e far crescere il nostro centro. Siamo tutti importanti e anche tu lo sarai. Sarai trattato con affetto, entusiasmo e gioia. Ti abbiamo bisogno, e ti faremo sentire così.

The organization is a truly special place to volunteer at: the team is extremely welcoming and the atmosphere is super friendly! There are plenty of interesting activities to help with, depending on your skills and inclination, and all of them are great opportunities to get in touch with locals and experience the Tanzanian culture. The place is safe and fun at the same time, and it hosts amazing dynamics of reciprocity and exchange! Sometimes it can be a little chaotic, but there is nothing like seeing it full of people who enjoy spending time there! No one day is like another one at the organization!

Volunteering at the organization was my one of my favorite experiences volunteering in Africa. Immediately upon arriving in Arusha, I felt welcomed into a compassionate, curious family. Christina values inclusivity and community and it was evident how much she cared about making the experience valuable for both myself and attendees of the center. She is so open to new ideas, which is why I was able to contribute my Voice and Movement Therapy skills, and collaborate with my creative potential. The dance classes and night life here are unforgettable and so are the beautiful souls. I'll be back. <3
