Muyu Semilla de Selva
Dopo aver fatto riaprire la scuola della comunità kichwa, i bambini hanno un livello molto basso a causa di due anni di pandemia che hanno impedito di studiare. L'unica insegnante della comunità segue 16 bambini dai 3 ai 12 anni. Senza volontari la scuola manca di supporto e l'educazione si impoverisce. Vogliamo dare forza a questa scuola rurale e migliorare l'educazione dei suoi studenti!
Siamo diverse persone che amiamo quello che facciamo (una biologa, una veterinaria, insegnanti e comunicatori), quindi cercheremo di rendere la tua esperienza la migliore possibile mentre collabori al nostro progetto! Cerchiamo di creare un ambiente familiare. Stiamo migliorando lo spazio di alloggio, quindi abbiamo aumentato il costo del volontariato a 100$ a settimana, per garantire anche che una persona ti accompagni al 100% del tempo e non resti da solo nella riserva.

I had an amazing experience at the eco village. Christina and Carlos were so kind and they were so hospitable. the eco village lodge itself is a beautiful place surrounded by nature and to be in peace. The one week that I've volunteered was full of surprises! The work that I did was really divers: from gardening, helping in the kitchen to make tourists feel welcome, organising an event, teaching in the community etc. The Ecuadorian lifestyle is always plan from day to day so you should be a little flexible and go with flow. If you cannot do that, I won't think this would be your thing.

The eco village Foundation is an exciting organisation that offers a busy schedule filled with a wide range of environmental and social projects. The main projects revolve around bird conservation, so the fact that the eco village is in the rainforest has allowed me to observe many birds up close in their natural habitat. I really enjoyed my stay here, since the hosts, Christina and Carlos, as well as Julio, have created a wonderful place for those who want to learn more about conservation to explore a new piece of the world.
