The hostel became my home super quick. All the people are so nice and welcoming. It was just a fun time. Brayan, Leidys, Paola, Davi ,Jonathan and Hegel they are just the best. They welcomed me and made me feel like a part of their team. The hostel is super nice and if there is anything you need they'll help you. Palomino is a small beach town and the vibe is super chilled. I would recommend this place 100 %. I also improved my Spanish while I was here which is a plus'. The work is very easy and the guest are super nice. Thank you for this amazing experience! I will be definitely back.

El hotel tiene un ambiente familiar, no se da tanto la socialización, así que lo recomiendo más para personas que están buscando descansar. El equipo está siempre dispuesto a ayudar en lo que necesites, tienen una calidad humana increíble. Respecto a las horas de trabajo, todo bien, excepto por el turno de 9 hrs para cubrir el día de descanso del administrador, 9 horas es una jornada excesivamente larga para los voluntarios, creo que no hace falta recordar que no somos trabajadores del lugar y que en este caso lo correcto sería contratar a alguien que pueda hacer su reemplazo.

Cara Nicole, grazie per il tuo supporto all'hotel e per i tuoi consigli! Li terremo conto nei dettagli. È molto importante ricordare alla comunità Worldpackers che gli orari sono concordati tra entrambe le parti non appena il volontario arriva nel nostro hotel; cioè, vengono definiti insieme e abbiamo sempre la flessibilità di modificarli affinché sia il volontario che noi siamo soddisfatti. Ciò è in accordo con l'intensità proposta dall'offerta e le condizioni definite in precedenza nell'offerta di volontariato.
È importante sottolineare che a Palomino Sunrise, essere volontario non significa essere dipendente, ma nemmeno essere in vacanza durante i turni. Per questo motivo è molto importante chiarire che l'orario di lavoro durante gli altri giorni della settimana è di 2 o 3 ore. Infatti, abbiamo un turno durante la settimana, che viene concordato insieme, ma non è obbligatorio; in effetti, questo turno può essere modificato ma le ore rimanenti devono essere ripartite durante il resto della settimana. Questo turno è stato creato in base alle raccomandazioni di molti volontari che preferivano avere un carico di lavoro più alto in un giorno della settimana in cambio di avere più ore libere durante gli altri giorni per godersi Palomino.
Sappiamo che ci sono volontari che quando vengono lavorano anche in remoto su altri progetti, e questo tipo di turni può influire sui loro piani; tuttavia è importante tenere presente che durante i turni concordati l'impegno con l'hotel deve essere al 100%, senza che ciò significhi essere dipendente.
Anche il tuo lavoro è stato molto prezioso e professionale; ti auguriamo tutta la fortuna per i tuoi prossimi volontariati e speriamo di continuare ad avere volontari altrettanto preziosi come te.

Unfortunately, this experience wasn't neither what I expected nor what we agreed on the platform. The information published on the profile doesn't reflect reality in terms of what you have to do and the schedule. As a recepcionist volunteer my main activities were helping in the kitchen, serving food, and cleaning tables. They also changed the schedule and one day the volunteer has to replace the hotel administrator on his day off in an 8-9 hour shift. This place is right for you if you're only seeking accommodation and breakfast in exchange for work, here you are more like an employee.

Lamentablente la expectativa de Alejandra en el voluntariado se enfocaba más en el descanso, la diversión y la fiesta que en apoyar al equipo cuando se necesitaba. No la recomendaría para un voluntariado serio en el cual se busca un gana-gana tanto para el voluntario como para el hotel. En este caso Alejandra no solo no incumplió con la propuesta publicada y aceptada en la plataforma, sino que además abandonó el hotel el tercer día de haber llegado.
Unfortunately, Alejandra's expectations in volunteering focused more on rest, fun and partying than on supporting the team when needed. She would not recommend her for serious volunteering where a win-win is sought for both the volunteer and the hotel. In this case, Alejandra not only failed to comply with the proposal published and accepted on the platform, but she also left the hotel the third day after she arrived.

Las instalaciones son muy bonitas, es un hermoso lugar para conectar con personas de todos los países, para practicar el inglés y hacer amigos tanto los huespedes como las personas del equipo con las que estoy muy agradecida por su apoyo y por su disposición. Se los recomiendo de todo corazón, no pude elegir un mejor lugar para hacer mi primer voluntariado. Todos los chicos del equipo son maravillosos y te hacen sentir como en casa. Me gusta mucho que desde el inicio las horas de trabajo fueron muy claras! También me ayudaron a organizar unos días libres. Las tareas son muy sencillas como ayuda en la recepción o en el restaurante. Me voy feliz .

Un hogar fuera de casa! La estructura del hotel esta diseñada para reflejar un ambiente de relajación y comodidad. Pero, cuando estas en el hostel, entiendes q no es gracias a la estructura del hotel q te sientes en como en casa. Es gracias a sus colaboradores, cada uno de ellos actúa como un integrante de tu familia. q siempre, sin importar qué, estarán dispuestos a ayudarte. Hegel es el líder de este gran team y aunque el no viva en la región, estará siempre atento a ti. Las tareas q debes realizar no se igualan a los recuerdos con los q regresas una vez termina tu experiencia! :)

Una experiencia única! Hegel está pendiente de tu llegada y cuando se acerca el tiempo de tu partida ya que él no vive en la región así que qué creo que es un buen gesto. Pero la verdadera convivencia es con el equipo de trabajo y todos son maravillosos!!. Te sorprenderá la energía, amabilidad, y muchas más virtudes de Brayan; el corazón amplio de Paola y la amabilidad de Mónica, David y Miguel. Las tareas son fáciles pero requieren de tu compromiso, Brayan te ayuda a qué tus horas sean flexibles y puedas conocer más de la región. el hotel es hermoso todo el tiempo y cómodo. recomendado 💯

This experience was truly amazing, I came to Palomino not knowing anybody and barely speaking Spanish and left fluent with a town full of friends. Hegel and Bryan are the most welcoming person you can think of, they will always find ways to make you feel at home. The other members of the staff are always smiling and with a great joy of life, whether it is Monica, Paola or Yilmer! The tasks are pretty easy, and the staff is always willing to switch shifts or do something else if you dont like doing one of them:) The place is beautiful, really peaceful, and they also have the best wifi in town!

Lilian non era solo il primo, era il miglior volontario che abbiamo mai avuto; era sempre cortese, aiutava i nostri ospiti, pieno di energia, divertente e responsabile! È stata un'incredibile opportunità di lavorare con lui e sentiremo la mancanza di Lilian per il resto delle nostre vite.
