The host did amazing job at helping us to get to Kioga. We stayed in a building on his property and ate meals at his house. We also had friendly welcoming neighbours. We were helping out with renovation of the local school, together with a group of volunteers that came through a humanitarian organization and were staying together by another host. Afternoons we were spending at our place, but there wasn't really much to do in the area. There was extremly poor to no signal and regular cut in power and water. We avoided going to the town if it wasn't necessary because it costed quite a bit.

> "Thank you Karolina for helping with the school renovation and your kind words about our neighbors! You’re right — our village is off-grid and we’ve learned from your feedback. We now give all volunteers a full guide on power, water, and transport costs before they arrive, and we’ve added afternoon Swahili lessons + games. Karibu tena if you’re ever back in Tanzania!"
