I had a lovely time with Dita and Endik. Even though I've stayed only for a week, I got to experience a lot of different things such as releasing baby turtles, teaching and playing with children and harvesting rice. Dita, Endik, Dila and all people who helped them made me feel at home right from the beginning and were always flexible and helpful throughout my stay. I can recommend it to anyone who fancies a laid-back atmosphere, fair workloads and delicious food made out of regional ingredients. Thank you :)

I stayed with Dita at the community for 1 month, and it was a wonderful experience! In the village, it's very calm, and you can relax and rest while also enjoying the community and making an impact. Dita is warm and welcoming, and I always felt safe and in good hands. She also brought me to Blitar to see the chocolate factory, took me to try local restaurants, and she cooked amazing food. Dita is also very helpful and helped me and the other volunteers book different activities and transportation, and she even helped me review my visa. I loved my time here, and I hope to return someday. Thank you!!

I fell in love with the family, the team, the other volunteers, the way of life, the community, the children, and of course the turtles! It was an honor to experience the daily life, the sustainable food.! The kindness and generosity of time, knowledge and experience was constant! For example, I loved to meditate by the river in the back of the property every morning. The slope was a bit of a problem (I have some mobility issues) so the next morning when I went, the family had built a path with steps from stone on their property! Thank you and see you next year!

My stay with Dita was perfect. It was my first time doing something with Worldpackers and it was a good place to start. We took care of the mangrove trees, painted signs, taught English to the children, got to try our hand at batik and helped out with cooking. The food was really delicious and we got to try various Indonesian dishes. The location right by the ocean and far away from tourist spots was beautiful. All in all, it was a truly wonderful time and I would come back anytime.

My stay with Dita and her family was amazing! Not only does she make you feel right at home with her friendly and open attitude. But also allows you to get a glimpse into what it's like living like a local in a beautiful village. All tasks are fun and not too tiring. Her cooking is amazing. Can only recommend this experience to anyone :). Thanks Dita!

Loved my week there! I felt I was in a home, loved the family, atmosphere, place, other volunteers, the job and all the activities. I learned a lot about indonesian culture and turtles. Hopefully I will come back some day.

I had the most amazing 2 weeks volunteering with dita & endik! they were perfect hosts who were very welcoming and excited to share their conservation work and culture with me. as well as being able to contribute to meaningful work in an ethical, local setting, i was able to meet local people and it was a really special experience. the cherry on top was being lucky enough to release 2 turtle nests during my stay. this was such a highlight of my wider backpacking trip and i 100% recommend a visit to serang beach :)

Valentina is a very friendly person. She always helps with whatever work we need, from reforestation activities in the conservation area, conservation maintenance, planting mangroves behind my house, making signs for turtle nesting areas. Our fun with Valentina is when we cook together. Valentina is always happy to help me cook Indonesian food. She is also lucky because she has participated in the turtle egg incubation process several times in the conservation area :) Thank you for your kindness

I had a wonderful experience with Dita and her family, I can only recommend them (which I already did 😄) and hope that more people will contribute to their project. My time there was rich in a lot of different ways and I am grateful for this experience. I come home with a lot of new memories and new knowledge on the community, turtles and culture. It was an incredible first volunteering experience for me. Thank you so much for making your home feels like mine for 10 days!!

Alice is very mature for her young age. She manages her time and carries out her activities well. At the conservation site, she helped make signs to number turtle nests, incubate eggs, and we released baby turtles into the ocean together. She is very enthusiastic and able to communicate well with the other volunteers, creating a warm, peaceful, and happy atmosphere, like a family. Alice drew a recipe I made: Banana Pancakes :) I was so happy. Thank you, dear Alice.

I spent a week with Dita and her family and truly had the best time! We had lots of free time to spend by the beach or at the café. The activities Dita planned were really fun and I ended up learning a lot about turtles, but also about indonesian cuisine, culture and languge. We had very healthy, delicious vegan food every day! The rooms were really nice and Dita was a great host. When I had to extend my Visa she took me to the community and she always made us feel welcomed. I came in the beginning of turtle season (May) so I got to incubate eggs mutiple times and even released some baby turtles:)

Dita and Endik are both nice and interesting people, they really looked after us during this amazing experience. We got to learn more about the local culture and get involved helping with the conservation. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more and experience the local life.
