Dettagli del programma
At Tukula Children’s Foundation, our name means "growth." We are a grassroots NGO in rural Uganda dedicated to transforming lives through our 5-Pillar Model: Physical, Educational, Nutritional, Medical, and Emotional. We are currently in an exciting phase of expansion, and we need a creative storyteller to help us share this journey with the world!
What You Will Do:
As our Content Creator, you are the "eyes and ears" of the foundation. Your work will directly help us attract donors and volunteers.
Visual Storytelling: Capture high-quality photos and videos of our clinic outreaches, classroom activities, and community garden.
Social Media: Create engaging Reels and TikToks that highlight the joy and resilience of our community.
Impact Interviews: Sit down with our staff and families to document "Success Stories" that show the real-world impact of our 5 Pillars.
Expansion Launch: Help us document the birth of our new center as we expand our reach into a second community!
The Exchange & Skill Sharing:
This is a true partnership. While you share your digital skills with us, we will share our culture with you. You will learn:
Traditional Cooking: Master the art of the Rolex and the legendary Luwombo.
Language & Culture: We’ll teach you Luganda and the history of our community.
NGO Leadership: Learn how to run a grassroots organization from the ground up.
Accommodation & Food:
You will stay in a safe, clean room with a mosquito net and a welcoming family atmosphere. We provide three hearty, local meals a day. As a grassroots NGO, we ask for a $15/day contribution to cover your high-quality meals, stay, and project support.
Join us and help us tell the story of the next generation of Uganda!
Attività e turni
Total Hours: 8 hours per week (2 hours per day).
Days Off: 3 days per week (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—perfect for weekend trips!).
Daily Activities:
Since we only ask for 2 hours of your time, we focus on high-impact, focused creativity. Your "shift" is split into two parts:
Hour 1: The "Capture" (On-the-Ground): You will join the directors or staff during a specific activity—be it a clinic outreach, a gardening session, or a classroom lesson. This is your time to gather the raw footage, photos, and stories of our 5-Pillar Model in action.
Hour 2: The "Create" (Editing & Posting): You can take your captures and turn them into 1-2 pieces of high-quality content (a Reel, a TikTok, or a story post). You can do this from the comfort of our center or while relaxing with a cup of Ugandan coffee.
Your 3 Days Off:
With a 3-day weekend (Friday–Sunday), you have the perfect opportunity to visit nearby attractions, go on a safari, or head into the city. We are always happy to help you plan your travels and ensure you see the best of what our country has to offer.
