Since the first videocall and first day I felt super welcomed. We bonded nicely with Feri and Lise, who made me feel at home 💖 They cook fantastic food, so when we shared meals, I knew it wouldn't disappoint. Feri made traditional palestinian food and invited us to cook with him, which I really appreciated. I also shared with two other volunteers and we did a great team, so working was enjoyable. The tasks are farm work, which I loved, so expect hard work, as in any project of this kind.

Lise and Feri live at an incredible place! The nature, the animals (31 sheep, 2 goats, a cat and a dog) are amazing and it was a beautiful experience. There are a lot of hiking trails near and Vienna is only about 1,5 hours away, so there's a lot to explore in your free time. There are only a few tasks that need to be done every day, so throughout the day they'll give you tasks like cleaning the guest rooms, tidying up the place outside or some repairing/ renovating stuff. There's no clear structure, meaning that there's sometimes more, sometimes less to do. I would definitely recommend it!⛰️💕

This was my first volunteer experience. I had a wonderful time here. Lise and Feri are so friendly. The animals are also very cute and energetic. I learned a lot about cooking, nature, sheep and gardening. I really like the food Lise and Feri made. They were very yummy😋 Thank you Lise and Feri. It was an amazing experience to stay on your farm. I will always remember.

Good accommodation, all necessaries included and beautiful nature. Vegans: expect to cook for yourself using basic ingredients. Always double-check meals hosts offer, as they mix up vegan/vegetarian. The work is physically demanding (like cleaning stables) and can exceed agreed hours, so strong boundaries are essential. You might be asked to help on days off, but they respect it if you decline. 'Flexible' hours still include strict daily chores and unexpected tasks that keep you on your toes. Hosts are cheerful but disorganized with planning, so communicate your limits clearly!

Interesting but tough experience. I enjoyed farm life, caring for sheep and goats, hiking and cooking. The work is exhausting, we shoveled manure for days, and my back pain was dismissed as "dramatizing". There's no schedule. Despite a 5-hour agreement, you're on-call 7:30 AM-8 PM for random tasks. You must fiercely defend your working time and days off. If you're vegan or have a special diet, meals aren't provided (we have 5 in two weeks), you only get cheap basics to cook yourself. Cherry on top - the host badmouths about her volunteers, expect her to gossip about you next.
