Mala is an incredible host, she really goes above and beyond for everyone. Arep and Topik are also most incredible. The whole team made our week memorable and have treated us like family. We have been traveling for three months and this has been by far our favorite place, just for the people and the experience. The job itself is to go to different schools and interact with the kids, play games sometimes. The kids are lovely and the teachers guide you. When you are not doing that, the team is bringing you to all these wonderful places throughout the school and you only ever pay the local price!

I had an amazing experience with Mala and Nopy's, felt like my indonesia parents. They took us many places in the school from north to south. The food it's absolutely amazing, the spicy tempé and the peanut sauce were my favourite. They always make sure nothing is missing. We played cards, sing, shared stories and try to learn indonesian and sasak. The work itself is very very light we just ended up going to the local school, talk more than teach, to the nicest and kindest kids we ever met. Thank you for everything and also to Topik and Arrib (smiley) for making everything easy and funny.

The days at Mala and Nopy's house were incredibly fun, easy going and a perfect way to have a real local experience. The joy and energy you get from the kids at the school is amazing, so glad we can contribute even if just a little. After school in the morning, prepare for lots of daytrips to waterfalls, monkey forest, island hoping, whatever you feel like exploring, they take you there! Thank you so much for the amazing time, the house is always full of joy and friends (Topic & Arrib, thank you for these days!) And Mala's food, absolutely the best we had in the school, fat&happy!

Mala and Nopy were some of the most kind hearted and welcoming hosts I have ever volunteered with. They go above and beyond to make sure every guest is taken care of, well fed, and feels like they are apart of the family. The whole week we stayed with them the house was full of laughter and full bellies thanks to Mala's amazing cooking!! Working with the kids was an unforgettable experience; they were so joyful, smart, and eager to learn. I definitely recommend this experience in the school:)

What an amazing 13 days in the school! We came here for a volunteering experience and ended up getting so much more than we expected. 🥰 Mala, Nopy, Topic, Arrib and Bayu have been amazing with us. They were always taking care of us and checking that we were doing well, and they made us feel welcome from the very beginning. One of the best parts was getting to see the school through their eyes. We got to experience local life, meet people, try lots of amazing food and discover some beautiful places around the island. F

Wir hatten einen sehr tollen Aufenthalt bei Nopy! Mit dem ersten Abend haben wir uns bei ihm und seiner Familie und Freunden sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gab immer leckeres Essen und die Ausflüge waren auch echt super. Wir haben den Tetebatu Wasserfall, die Secret Islands, eine Quelle, die Parade zum Unabhängigkeitstag besucht. In den Schulen und bei den Waisenkindern durften wir dazu mehrmals pro Woche unsere Englischkenntnisse in Gesprächen weitergeben oder einfache Grundlagen wiederholen, was echt Spaß gemacht hat. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit und werden das Team sehr vermissen!

Der Aufenthalt war wirklich wunderschön. Mala, Nopi & das ganze Team sind so hilfsbereit, gastfreundlich, witzig und unterhaltsam. Von der ersten Sekunde an, hat man sich als Teil einer großen Familie gefühlt. Meine vegetarische Ernährung wurde immer berücksichtigt. Generell war das Essen ein Traum. Wir haben viele Ausflüge unternommen, waren in verschiedenen Schulen, durften außerschulische Projekte kennenlernen und überall Englisch unterrichten. Außerdem haben wir viel über die Kultur und das Leben in die Schule gelernt. Eine absolute Empfehlung- wir kommen wieder ❤️

From the moment I arrived, I experienced warmth and hospitality. Mala immediately made me feel at ease and welcome. You will become immersed in local culture and really learn about the people and what they're like, -this is the perfect experience for you. Nearly every day Mala and Nopy planned fascinating trips for us around the island. The best part of all was the peopole - Mala, Nopy, their friends & family, the dancing and singing. The children! Such enthusiasm! The high-fiving, the sweet thank yous, the moments when they would just hold our had and put it to their forehead - unforgettable!
