Graaaan esperienza all'ostello, le parole mi mancano per dire tutto ciò che voglio dire, ma ho avuto l'opportunità di imparare molte attività che erano nuove per me, sempre con il supporto del team. Inoltre, ho incontrato persone incredibili che sicuramente non avrei potuto fare in altro modo. L'equilibrio tra lavoro e godersi il posto è stato anche necessario, poiché nel mio tempo libero ho conosciuto molti luoghi di Oaxaca, sia in modo turistico sia locale. Molto grato e spero che nel prossimo viaggio possa fermarmi qui di nuovo.

La mia prima esperienza come volontario, e non avrei potuto chiedere un posto migliore. Un luogo meraviglioso con persone meravigliose. È stata casa per un intero mese, e qui a Oaxaca sentirò sempre come casa. Grazie a Yoka, Mari e Flor per aver tenuto il posto in funzione, pulito e brillante. Tornerò <3

Non appena sono arrivato a Maka, mi sono sentito subito a casa. Per la mia prima esperienza come volontario in un ostello, i letti erano super comodi e le attività quotidiane alla reception e al bar erano minime. Yoka è una fantastica padrona di casa, prendendo in considerazione i tuoi turni preferiti e i giorni di riposo su richiesta così puoi esplorare Oaxaca o lavorare da remoto. Un saluto speciale agli altri volontari che hanno reso la mia esperienza così speciale durante le celebrazioni del Día de los Muertos e a Yoka, Laurens, Jos, Flor e Marie ❤️ Un casa lontana da casa, non vedo l'ora di tornare presto!

The hostel was truly an unforgettable experience. I learned new things, got to know Oaxaca more deeply, and made friends both locally and from all over the world. I have so many special memories thanks to the hostel. If you're considering doing a volunteering experience, the hostel is and will always be the best option in Oaxaca—I 100% recommend it. Yoka and Laurens are excellent hosts and are always willing to help! Gracias por todo the hostel

This was the first hostel I have worked at and it was the most amazing experience. I have made life long friends, learnt about Oaxacan culture and built on my hospitality skills. If you want set days off you can request them and if you feel more comfortable working on bar than reception then Yoka will take that into account. The beds are super comfortable and the guests were great. I met the owners during my stay who are also very lovely and cool.

As the other reviews demonstrate, the hostel becomes your home away from home<3 i loved everyone i met along the way and special shout-out to the volunteers: shakes (+ shannon), fleebs, schmelvin, donteeeazyyy, scooby, ale, lino, and yokaaaaaa… i miss u guys so much already! anyways, i love love LOVE the hostel and would recommend to anyone!

This was my first volunteer experience and I wouldn't change a thing! The host was clear and direct with what was expected of me and went above and beyond for my experience. I've created memories and friendships I will never forget. Thank you for everything the hostel!! See you again some day☺️

The atmosphere is super social and creative I felt part of a family from day one. I helped behind the bar, made cocktails, and connected with amazing travelers from around the world. The staff are welcoming, the events are always fun, and the rooftop is the perfect spot to relax after a shift. If you're thinking about volunteering in Oaxaca, the hostel is the place to be.
