I've stayed here with my girlfriend for three weeks in August 2024, we had a very wonderful time! Leo is a great and flexible host, and her family is incredibly welcoming, immediately making you feel at home. This is an experience i'd recommend to anyone, it's interesting, fun and the work is very rewarding, as you see the house proceed and improve. We worked on setting up the insulation, but the job depends of course on what there is to do. We had no prior experience but Leo is a great teacher, and she brought us up to speed very quickly!

This experience put us out of our comfort zone and then rewarded us ten times fold. This is a family of such kind hearted and spirited people, you can truly feel it. Leo is a great boss, she's understanding, intelligent, accommodating and she cares a lot about the learning experience the volunteers can get out of the work. The farm is a marvel: LOADS of the cuddliest cats, chickens, ducks, geese, horses, rabbits, the more the merrier. The countryside is so pretty and peaceful. Last but not least, their cooking is incredible. Like really. We had the best time, danke schön Leo🌼

I really enjoyed my time here! I'm so glad this was my first world packers experience. After getting off the bus, Leo walked me back to the house and I fell in love with it - so cozy and charming. My room was spacious and nicely decorated, it even had a piano in it! I often found a cat lying on my bed, as they're all so friendly. A nice surprise was lunch- Leo's family & the volunteers would all eat lunch together (always delicious), which is such a nice tradition. I loved how we could pick our own hours since we worked independently, after Leo showed us what to do. She's a very good teacher.

I had a great experience in Leo's farm. At the beginning we were 2 volunteers working together renovating clay ceilings. We were staying at the same house as the family and shared meals together. Then 2 more volunteers joined and I was moved to a cozy tent outside of the house. Then we learned how to apply clay layers for insulating the walls. I loved chatting with all family members and playing with the cats. I also greatly recommend going with a walk with the horses. Thank you so much for this experience and I hope the workshop becomes a beautiful space to create <3

Leonore and her family were so nice and I had a really great time there! I stayed for a week with some friends and we had plenty of time to work in the timbered house as well as getting to know her and her wellcoming family, their village and the beautiful surroundings. Leonore taught us everything we needed to know and we had a great time working together. All the hours of work are well stablished and all the meals provided too,which were delicious. Her house and garden were so nice and she always made sure we had everything we needed. I am so grateful for this experience and hope to repeat!

Helping Leonore was such a great experience. We weren't experienced with construction and Leonore explained everything perfectly and made the work easy and fun. Her family was the sweetest and they all made sure that we felt confortable in their house, also the food was also delicious. I have loved getting to know this part of Germany and this wonderfull family. Thank you so much Leonore for everything!!!!

Leo and her family were so kind and they made us feel like home. We got to know them, their culture and learnt so much about many things. The project was just what we were looking for and more because Leo explained everything we needed to know and answered all of our questions. Leo and her family were really committed to the project and transmitted their dedication and effort, so we fell in love with the project as well. I would love to come back. Thank you so much.

This volunteering experience has been life changing! It was my first time volunteering and I definitely recommend it. Leo and her family are the cutest and kindest people, always making sure we felt just like at home. The project is very interesting, you get to learn so many skills about construction (Leo explains everything, she's patient and understanding) and you get to see the progress of the project and how your work adds to the final result of the house. I could only stay there for a week, but I would have loved the stay longer to continue the project.

I only stayed for a week, but really enjoyed my time here. The family was really welcoming and kind. I found that mealtimes could be a bit unpredictable and wished that I had brought some comfort foods with me, since there was no grocery store close by. They took me into the city one day as well. I was sanding the ceiling for most of my work, as well as cleaning brick/removing old mortar. The work was tiring, but Lenore was really understanding of this and tried to find substitutes for when my arms were too tired. The kitties were sooo sweet too. I would come back for sure!

I had a great time volunteering here, I stayed for over a month and would definitely recommend. The work is not difficult but will be new to most, everything is explained really well and Leonore has no problem with repeating an explanation or answering any questions you might have. I learned a lot about renovation and learned lots if new skills. The area is beautiful and the house is on a farm so you can interact with the animals and go horse riding with the family. Leonore and her family are really welcoming and helpful and really made me feel at home.
