È stato molto piacevole soggiornare al River Arts Club. La vista sul fiume è incantevole e ci sono stand-up paddle e kayak disponibili gratuitamente. Maidenhead è una città splendida e si trova a 1 ora e 30 minuti da Londra. I compiti erano semplici: preparare la colazione, occuparsi della reception e una pulizia leggera. L'orario è molto flessibile e potresti finire per lavorare meno se non è molto traffico. Inoltre, in totale i volontari ricevono 30 £ da condividere per le spese alimentari settimanali. Latifa è stata una meravigliosa responsabile e ha gestito tutto bene, ed è stata davvero utile per i volontari! Raccomanderei questo posto a tutti.

La nostra attività di volontariato è iniziata in modo positivo, ma è peggiorata sotto la nuova responsabile Tara. Siamo stati ripetutamente redarguiti, umiliati e trattati con condiscendenza, spesso facendoci sentire inferiori. Le preoccupazioni sono state accolte con atteggiamento difensivo e commenti personali. Sembrava meno uno scambio culturale e più l'aspettativa di obbedire senza porre domande. I problemi minori sono stati esagerati a tal punto da affermare che ci costavamo denaro all'hotel. La disonestà ha anche minato la fiducia. Quando abbiamo sollevato preoccupazioni, Tara disse: «Questo è tuo problema. Non mi interessa cosa vuoi. Quello che voglio è che te ne vada tra tre giorni.» Questo ha confermato che non eravamo i benvenuti, e ce ne siamo andati.

Il mio partner ed io siamo stati in hotel per quasi 3 mesi, ed è stata davvero una grande esperienza. La posizione è assolutamente bellissima; l'hotel è proprio accanto all'hotel, in una zona tranquilla e pacifica
Abbiamo aiutato con il servizio di colazione, la reception, l'assistenza clienti e le pulizie.
Lo staff e la direzione sono stati molto cortesi e accoglienti sin dall'inizio.
Siamo davvero grati per il nostro tempo in hotel e consigliamo completamente questa esperienza ad altri volontari. Un ringraziamento speciale a Yumi e Angelika!

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel l'hotel, con il mio ragazzo come volontari, ed è stata un'esperienza davvero gratificante. Angelika, la proprietaria, e Yumi, la responsabile, sono state incredibilmente gentili. L'hotel ha un'atmosfera calda e amichevole. Il luogo è circondato da splendidi paesaggi che invitano al relax. Abbiamo imparato molto sul lavoro quotidiano all'hotel e ci è piaciuto condividere momenti con altri volontari e ospiti. Lo consigliamo decisamente.

My time at the hotel was incredible. The property is absolutely gorgeous, a historic house right on the Thames, surrounded by nature and beautiful walking trails. The grounds are stunning, and every day felt peaceful and inspiring. Angelika, Yumi, and Helle were so kind and made the experience unforgettable. Yumi is a brilliant manager! She is kind, patient, and always supportive, which made the work smooth and enjoyable. The tasks were fun, with plenty of interaction with guests from around the world in such a rich, vibrant, and creative setting. I'd return in a heartbeat!

I truly loved every minute of this volunteer experience. Angelika and her family are absolutely lovely, and I was surprised by how much it felt like home. The tasks didn't even feel like tasks because I was just taking care of the most adorable little creature in the world: Cooper. I would recommend this to anyone: they'll make you feel completely welcome. And Angelika is one of the most charming and wonderful people you could ever meet. I had an amazing experience at the hotel in Maidenhead! The staff are incredible—kind, supportive, and made me feel at home. Special thanks to Angelika, Helena, and Yumi; I'll miss you so much! The location is stunning, right on the hotel Thames with breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. Despite the peaceful setting, it's well-connected to London, and the Maidenhead area is surrounded by beautiful nature. A highlight was Cooper, the affectionate Golden Retriever, who made my stay even better. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable, enriching experience!
