Dettagli del programma
Welcome to ColivingLiguria, an early-stage rural community project in Cairo Montenotte, Liguria, surrounded by historic houses, large gardens and forest.
This is a flexible community experience rather than a fixed job with compulsory shifts or required results. Before arrival, we make sure expectations, safety, permissions and the practical arrangement are clear for everyone.
🌿 WHAT CAN YOU DO HERE?
There are five main areas you can explore, depending on your interests, experience and the projects happening while you are here:
🔨 Restoration, DIY & personal learning
Learn about the care and gradual restoration of old Ligurian houses through suitable personal projects. There is always plenty to improve, repair, organise or create. If you already have relevant practical experience, you may also be authorised to use some of our tools and equipment, always within the applicable safety rules and permissions.
🌱 Gardens & outdoor spaces
We have extensive gardens, paths and outdoor areas. You can work on gardening, plants, vegetable growing, outdoor organisation, landscape improvement and other nature-based personal projects.
🍕 Cooking & community life
Shared kitchens and meals are an important part of everyday life. You can cook together, experiment with recipes, use our traditional wood-fired oven and take part in spontaneous community moments.
🎉 Events & shared moments
You can participate in or propose dinners, workshops, cultural evenings, language exchanges, outdoor activities and other informal events that bring people together.
📸 Content, social media & portfolio
Photography, video, Reels, social media, storytelling, writing and creative documentation are especially welcome. ColivingLiguria is constantly evolving, so there are many opportunities to create genuine portfolio material while documenting real spaces, events, restoration and community life.
IMPORTANT PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Food is not included. Everyone normally buys their own groceries and uses the shared kitchen. Grocery shopping in a small Italian town such as Cairo Montenotte can be very economical, and people often choose to cook and eat together.
A €200 refundable security deposit is required. This is a guarantee deposit, not a programme fee or payment for accommodation. It is returned according to the Membership Agreement, provided the applicable rules are respected and subject only to any deductions legitimately permitted under the agreement.
You are responsible for having the appropriate health coverage for your situation. Health, emergency and insurance matters are governed by Attachment H. Where Schengen travel-medical insurance requirements apply, adequate insurance with at least €30,000 coverage including repatriation is required. EU/EEA/Swiss participants should have the relevant public/EHIC or other adequate health coverage where applicable.
Any use of tools or DIY activities depends on experience, safety and the permissions applicable to the individual participant. Please do not assume that every tool or type of work is automatically available.
