La mia permanenza nella casa è stata una grande esperienza dal punto di vista sociale. Altri volontari hanno reso la mia permanenza davvero divertente e piacevole. La casa di Faye era molto accogliente, i pasti erano ottimi e, come volontario, puoi trascorrere le serate in una sala giochi, cosa molto bella. Ciao Maya, credevo che te ne fossi andata poiché stavo viaggiando in modo inaspettato, non perché ti sentissi sotto pressione. Avevi compiti molto facili da svolgere, diserbare e piantare bulbi, senza alcuna aspettativa sul tempo necessario per completarli, poiché dovevi rimanere un mese e non due settimane. Siamo grati per il lavoro che hai svolto e ci è piaciuto conoscere meglio te.

Ch Château la casa è una bella proprietà nella campagna francese. Le strutture sono perfette, comode e tradizionali, e tutto ciò di cui avevo bisogno era fornito. Il cibo era delizioso e gli orari dei pasti erano piacevoli. Ogni compito è ben strutturato e dettagliato. Anche se ho imparato molto sul giardinaggio e sono arrivato preparato a lavorare sodo, ho trovato il lavoro fisicamente intenso e ogni compito veniva con una breve scadenza per completarlo, il che ha comportato ore extra non concordate. Faye’s the home è un luogo incantevole, con una splendida campagna circostante e molto terreno aperto. Le sistemazioni per dormire erano fantastiche e avevamo molto spazio come volontari. Il cibo era anche molto buono. Faye è organizzata e disponibile. Il lavoro era impegnativo e ci si aspettava di lavorare molte ore per completare un compito o un progetto. L’esperienza è sembrata più transazionale, il che era diverso dalle altre esperienze che ho avuto. Inoltre, l’ospite non partecipava molto alle attività con i volontari.

Grazie Luke, sì purtroppo come sai, è stato un periodo estremamente impegnativo per me e i miei figli e quindi non ho effettivamente cenato per 3 giorni di fila. Quindi per quanto mi sarebbe piaciuto partecipare alle cene non è stato possibile. Mi dispiace che tu abbia sentito che il lavoro fosse esigente, il tuo progetto che ho consentito di completare in 1 mese è stato in realtà completato in 1 fine settimana dal mio lavoratore occasionale dopo che te ne sei andato.

Staying at the home was a great first volunteer experience. Faye and the family are so sweet always made me feel welcome. After dinner we sometimes played card or board games making it feel like home. The tasks were layed out at the beginning of they stay and you can always ask questions for clarification and Faye walks you through specifics.

La host fue muy linda y su familia igual, no te va a faltar nada, las habitaciones de los hombres son muy cómodas pero hace mucho frio en ellas en la mañana, el trabajo (mínimo en el ámbito de jardinería) es mas duro de lo que uno espera pero no es molestia si disfrutas del trabajo duro

This place has an amazing location, there is a lake pretty close and you can see the Pyrenees, not to mention about the atmosphere of this old-fashioned building. The tasks were nice and pretty demanding, sometimes I felt them too much. Faye and Ben are kind and the food was delicious. I really liked that I could cycling and playing ping pont and darts with the other volunteers in the game room. P.S. I MISS YOU SCRATCHY

I've had a very good experience at the home, Faye is a very kind, respectful and charming host, I also enjoyed meeting other volunteers, sharing fun moments and enriching cultural experiences, the room was spacious and warm enough, the bathroom was shared with other volunteers and I was free to prepare my own breakfast and lunch meals, everything was explained at the beginning and Faye also answered any questions I Had, we've shared good and fun conversations on diner time, the workload and and tasks met up with what's described.

This experience was quite enjoyable. On the one hand, the family is always willing to listen to you and attend to your concerns or needs. Thus, the tasks and working hours are comfortable and challenging but you always feel the gratitude given by the host. And on the other hand, the meals cooked by the host are gorgeous besides being a space for interaction with the volunteers and family. If you are looking for an experience of cultural exchange and disconnection but connection with nature, this is a very good opportunity.

My experience at the home was fantastic. Faye and her family are welcoming and always enthusiastic to chat about the day. The tasks were challenging but rewarding and the schedule made these tasks easy to complete. The meals in the evenings cooked by Faye was a highlight each day and made finishing the tasks for the day even more rewarding. Overall I believe this volunteer experience is one of a kind and the best I have done so far without a doubt. Thankyou to the home!
