Dettagli del programma

As a Tour Guide and Education Volunteer, you will lead birdwatching, night and general cloud forest tours at Cloudbridge Nature Reserve. Most tours last around 4 hours, usually one per day, with a maximum of two on busy days. You will also help our education team with student groups, leading small research, field observation and environmental education activities.

We expect volunteers to have strong knowledge of tropical and Costa Rican birds, including identification by sight and ideally by sound. Some training about Cloudbridge, our trails and local species will be provided, but applicants should already have a solid bird knowledge.

The schedule is flexible because tours can sometimes be booked at short notice. You will have one regular day off per week, plus free time whenever there are no tours or educational activities. We provide free shared accommodation, a fully equipped kitchen and a stipend for each tour you lead.

We are looking for someone responsible, friendly and passionate about nature, who enjoys hiking, wildlife, meeting visitors and sharing their knowledge.
