I'm looking for a patient, friendly, and responsible native English speaker who would like to stay in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica, and help me improve my English through practical, in-person lessons.
In exchange for 24 hours of English lessons, I offer accommodation in a private, independent studio.
🏡 Your Accommodation
The studio includes:
• Private bathroom.
• Small, equipped kitchen with a gas cooktop, pots, plates, glasses, and a refrigerator.
• Wi-Fi.
• Cable TV.
• Fan.
• Access to the swimming pool.
The studio is private and independent, giving you your own space during your stay.
Food & Meals
Food is not included. You will be responsible for buying your own groceries and preparing your meals in the studio's equipped kitchen.
About the English Lessons
I am an adult beginner looking to improve my confidence in speaking and understanding English, particularly for my daily work in hospitality and tourism.
I would love to learn through conversations, practical exercises, and everyday situations.
Teaching or tutoring experience, especially with adult beginners, is a plus.
About Our Property
Our property is a small tourist accommodation complex with four houses and one independent studio.
My family and I live here, and we regularly welcome guests. We ask volunteers to respect everyone's privacy and help maintain a peaceful and friendly environment.
Length of Stay
We can welcome one volunteer starting immediately
I would like to receive 4 hours of English lessons per day, Monday through Saturday, divided into two sessions:
• 2 hours in the morning.
• 2 hours in the late afternoon or early evening.
• Sundays off.
The lessons should focus on practical English for hospitality, tourism, and everyday communication.
Topics includeđź“š:
• Welcoming guests and making them feel comfortable.
• Check-in and check-out procedures.
• Answering Airbnb and WhatsApp messages.
• Explaining house rules and amenities.
• Managing reservations and answering guest questions.
• Handling guest requests and complaints.
• Improving pronunciation, listening, and everyday conversation.
My goal is to feel more confident communicating in English with guests and handling everyday situations at our accommodation.
We want to maintain a friendly, peaceful, and respectful environment for everyone.
Our family lives and works on the property, which we also share with employees and guests. Please respect everyone's privacy and comfort.
