La mia esperienza ad il lodge è stata molto positiva, lo staff è gentile e accogliente, Jake, Marie e Pia mi hanno fatto sentire a casa. Il lavoro mi è piaciuto molto, insegnare yoga è un privilegio per me ed un piacere. Imparare il processo di lavorazione del cacao è stato molto interessante, e mi è piaciuto molto fare i tour del cacao. Con gli altri volontari si è creato un bellissimo rapporto: Jaqueline, Ash, Cal e Juli hanno reso la mia permanenza ad il lodge ancora più piacevole e sono molto grata di averli conosciuti. Nel complesso è un'esperienza che rifarei.

Definitely recommend volunteering with the lodge. The people that live and work for the hotel are so incredibly kind and welcoming. Tasks are clear, accommodation is comfortable, food is delicious, and the hotel is located in a beautiful area. You are not very close to any major city so make sure you are ready for an isolated jungle experience! So grateful for this experience and highly recommend it to anyone that loves nature and a very slow pace of life.

I was yoga teacher at the lodge and my experience was really great. First of all people who work there along with manager are very helpful and attentive to any doubts I had. Yoga studio is wide and open. There was no pressure from anyone to follow certain rules for yoga so I was free to follow my traditional yoga style and most of guests enjoyed what I taught them. Food was also great with portions size. Be mindful that you are in forest so there will be bugs. And it's okay.

We had very good experiences at the lodge. Highly recommend for people looking for volunteering opportunities. It was our first experience as volunteer. Managers and owner are very emphatic to request and always ready to help us if we had any doubts about our role duties. Local Woman who works in kitchen are prime example of how one should be happy with less material stuff in life. One should learn a lot from them. Very peaceful place with nature around you and amazing people at place. Even tough it's in remote locations it equip with almost all facilities which we need in our day to day life.

A wonderful enriching experience shared with great people. The working hours are respected and tasks and responsibilities are clearly laid out. Pia, Jake, Jacqueline, Mario and Raquel made me feel comfortable. I would advise volunteers to have some personal projects to work on alongside the agreed work, for example, remote work, fitness goals or practising Spanish. Aside from the tours and access to the river, the days can feel long if you don't have other commitments. The food is wonderful and varied, however those who workout regularly would definitely benefit from protein supplements.

The lodge en verdad es una experiencia muy linda y enriquecedora, los horarios son claros y bastante estrictos, hay bastante orden en la dinámica y lo que puedes hacer al rededor es muy bonito. Queda retirado para en verdad desconectar, la comida es muy rica, la porción de la noche es bastante buena y grande. Muy rico salir a caminar, leer, disfrutar de la naturaleza. Lo recomendaría mucho.

I had a wonderful experience volunteering at the lodge! This is a great opportunity to get in touch with nature and to relax in the jungle. The work schedule is good and leaves you with plenty of free time. The staff are very friendly and patient and there is always someone there to help you if needed. I would definitely recommend this experience, especially if you are looking for a slower pace of life.

Uno de los mejores voluntarios que he hecho! ❤️ Los horarios se respetan, las tareas son sencillas, la comida es deliciosa. Mucho tiempo para desconectar y estar en la naturaleza, cerca de Semuc Champey y también el río que pasa enfrente es precioso. Muchas gracias Pía, Mario, Jake, Marie y a todas las personas del staff.
