Tuve una muy buena experiencia haciendo voluntariado aquí. El trabajo es sencillo, se respetan los acuerdos desde el principio y el lugar que ofrecen para hospedarse es cómodo. Las instalaciones están bien cuidadas y, aunque el hostal está un poco retirado del centro, hay varias opciones de transporte para moverse Quiero agradecer especialmente a Don Juan, sus hijos, Sebastián y Esme, quienes siempre fueron muy amables y estuvieron dispuestos a ayudarme cuando lo necesité.💓 El único detalle fue con la señora. en ocasiones, sentí que su trato hacia mí no fue el mejor. Aun así 10/10. 💓🔆

Fue muy buena experiencia, los anfitriones son amables y dispuestos a ayudarte en lo que ocupes u explicarte, aunque fui en temporada baja me gustó ya que la pasé muy bien con cada personita de ahí. Aparte desayunos ricos y buenos para empezar el día🫶 Respetan muy bien los horarios y las tareas son sencillas!, si puedes llegar a batallar un poco con la ubicación pero nada que no se soluciona agarrando un bus o puedes ir caminando a las tienditas que se encuentran ahí sin problema o al mercadito donde hay de todo!. Solo puedo agradecer por la experiencia y los veo pronto!!!

Mos alegra mucho que tuvieras una experiencia positiva. Nos encantó tenerte en oasis, siemrpe cumpliste todas las tareas con una sonrisa, siempre tendrás las puertas abiertas para alguna nueva ocasión.

This Hostel feels like a home. Further than other hostels compared to the beach/downtown but definitely worth it. Only a 20-25 minute walk to the beach and downtown is before that. I would recommend this hostel to someone that wants a quieter hostel so after they go out they can come back to peace.

Volunteering at the hostel was my first worldpackers experience. The owners and Esme are very welcoming and friendly, forever grateful for their hospitality and kindness. The work is simple and structured with clear outlines of tasks to be completed. I don't speak spanish but everyone was helpful and patient with me. Overall I had a great time and met the loveliest people! Gracias!

Los dueños muy amables siempre dispuestos a escuchar tu opinión y aportes con el hostel, respetan los tiempos de descanso, me agrado que siempre están pendientes de si necesitas ayuda con algo, lo recomiendo un momento si desean pasar un te porada cerca de la playa y la naturaleza es la combinación perfecta, espero regresar en algún momento

I liked the experience, all the employees were real nice and informative about the area. The hostal was big and the terraza at the top was great. I ended up getting attached to this place. I would volunteer again and the malecon and beach are fun to go too

Volunteering at the hostel was a really special experience for me. It's a family-run hostel, and from the first day they truly made me feel at home. The vibe is very relaxed, chill, and local, more than a typical hostel. With guests from Spanish-speaking countries as well as Canada and the USA, I was naturally encouraged to learn and practice Spanish every day. The location is great — about a 20-minute walk to the beach along the river, and the bus station is very close. Being there over the holidays was extra special thanks to a family-style dinner organized by the owners.

Très bonne expérience de volontariat. J'ai été très bien accueillie par Orky et Juan, qui m'ont clairement présenté les missions à réaliser. Les horaires ont toujours été respectés. J'étais en dortoir avec les autres volontaires, avec accès au petit-déjeuner. L'hôtel est très agréable, très beau, et l'endroit est calme et paisible et l'ambiance est familiale. Je recommande vivement.

As this was my 9th volunteer experience, it felt a bit limited for more experienced volunteers, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. The owners are a very sweet older couple, the environment is super calm with an older crowd (around 50s–60s), and the work is clearly structured. Shifts are 5 hours a day, 5 days a week (2.5 hours cleaning + 2.5 hours front desk), with free breakfast. The main drawback is that although the position says English “or” Spanish, all training and main management/leadership communication was in Spanish, which made learning tasks and procedures a bit more challenging.
