Questa è stata la mia prima esperienza con Worldpackers, ed è stata incredibile. Sono stato nella casa di Luigi durante la prima settimana di gennaio, quando il freddo e il cattivo tempo facevano parte della nostra routine quotidiana. Eppure Luigi è una persona molto gentile, flessibile e comprensiva. Non ho potuto lavorare sul progetto come previsto a causa del tempo, ma lui si è adattato facilmente. Luigi è anche molto piacevole con cui parlare e con cui avere conversazioni significative, e mi ha portato a visitare i villaggi vicini. Ho trascorso un periodo meraviglioso e ho imparato molto sulla cultura italiana e toscana.

Ischia di Castro is a small quiet village on the Italian countryside. Very friendly locals and greeting people Ciao goes a long way. Gigi's home is such a tranquil place. I love cooking in the kitchen and having meals outside, it was summer and overlooking lush of greens where the sound of the birds echoes and a distant sound of the river below. Gigi is a poetic man and a realist. A musician and an artist — he's curious and loves learning cultures from people. I learned a lot from him (like how little garlic Italians use in food 😆 ) It's honestly just beyond words to describe everything ✨️

Staying at Luigi's house was an incredible experience! I could practice a lot in Italian, as well as contribute to his studies in Portuguese. He took me to some places nearby and we had wonderful moments of conversation, sharing about our cultures and experiences. The tasks were very easy and simple. Thank you, Luigi, for having me and offering a unique week!

It was a beautiful experience, he is verry friendly and open. You get the rest you need and he lives in a small village with a breathtaking view. He showed me some amazing spots like a hot spring, a waterfall, and beautiful towns. All of them more known to the locals than to tourist wich made it even better. The work hours where verry little and not hard at all. Mostly you prepare dishes from your home country so he can travel a little in his home 😊. You don't have to be great just try your best. I really recomend this! Thank you Gigi for everything 😊

Gigi is an amazing person, and I had a wonderful time with him. The tasks he gave me were much easier than what we had gone through. Gigi loves art and history, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time talking about this topics. We also went on various tours to beautiful villages and hot springs, all of which had a unique sense of tranquility, making this the most memorable trip for me.

In my case I was in a place far from everything, where you can only move around by car. There are no shops or anything nearby. I was alone without other volunteers, only with the host. The idea of the experience was to go record content of nearby towns for his boat business, but there was no boat I had a friend who lived close by, so I asked if I could go spend an afternoon with her. He told me I couldn't do that unless he was part of the outing (coming w us). He asked me if it wasn't disrespectful that he hosted me at his house and I went out with someone else without him. Felt not safe

Un'esperienza spiacevole anche per me. Mai in grado di mostrare le sue capacità nell'editing video e nei contenuti web. Mai cooperato per la vita quotidiana in casa. Non ho mai impedito il suo piano diverso di unirsi all'amica, ma penso che non fosse normale chiedere di farlo solo dopo due giorni di inattività, senza cooperazione nelle faccende domestiche e io, come autista personale, nemmeno invitato alla riunione. L'ho trovato profondamente irrispettoso.

La experiencia no es en Matera, es en Sava. La casa está muy alejada: no puedes moverte sin auto. Solicité si podía llevarme a la estación a 1ra hora de mi último día y me dijo q no porque era muy temprano. No tenía en claro cuál era su idea de negocio y eso me hacía sentir confundida: íbamos a sitios que no pertenecían a los itinerarios q él ofrecería. Un día sufrió un disgusto lo cuál tensó el ambiente y me solicitó si podía irme antes porque daba de baja el proyecto. Destaco que fue siempre respetuoso y que un día me acompañó al hospital, tolerando 3 horas de espera, lo cual valoré mucho.

Purtroppo mi aspettavo un atteggiamento diverso da Guadalupe. Oltre a essere uno scambio di competenze professionali, Worldpackers è un'occasione per scambi culturali e una possibilità di fare nuove esperienze al di fuori della nostra zona di comfort. Purtroppo ho sentito che lei non era mai in quella disposizione d'animo, anche se ha provato a offrire le sue competenze di base nell'editing video e nella creazione di contenuti. La creatività ha bisogno di positività e di una buona attitudine verso la vita per funzionare. Quindi sono molto scontento per questo malinteso.
