Yorgos was the most welcoming and friendly host. The work and hours were totally fair. In Greek fashion he made sure we were comfortable and took great care in his job of manager and host. The only thing I would fault is that there was only a small window in the staff bedroom. Overall I had a fantastic experience with Yorgos and the other volunteers and cherish the time I had there.

I had an amazing and unforgettable time at the hostel. The environment is clean and feels like a second home. Yorgos is an amazing host, he is kind, understanding and flexible. He was always available whenever I needed help and worked with me to figure things out. The work schedule was as described and flexible and it gave me plenty of time to explore around the city and even do weekend trips during my days off. I would absolutely recommend this experience!

L'auberge de jeunesse a été une 2e maison pour moi, j'ai adoré mon expérience et je ne peux que vous recommander de vous lancer ! Yorgos est très gentil et toujours à l'écoute, toujours de bons conseils, et vous faites de magnifiques rencontres au sein de l'auberge. Vous avez aussi 2 jours off par semaine pour visiter l'île, ce que je recommande grandement :) Un grand merci ! <3

Such a wonderful host! Extremely respectful, down-to-earth, flexible, and easy to communicate with. It was so much fun working here, and the hostel is a lovely, peaceful oasis right in the middle of the city!! <3 <3 <3

I had a fantastic time at the hostel. The work was easy, and the hours respected. I had plenty of time to see Crete. The hostel is clean and comfortable, with a fantastic rooftop to relax on. It is not a party hostel and is perfect if you are wanting a quiet place to relax and spend a month near the beach. It was my first world packers experience and I loved that they trusted us enough that we could be self-sufficient. We were effectively taught how to run the hostel ourselves and I really loved having that responsibility. Thank you Yorgos! Would absolutely volunteer here again.

Volunteering at the hostel was my first Worldpackers experience and I couldn't expect a better opportunity than this one ! The work was very light and easy to do, I had plenty of time to enjoy Crete and the owner of the hostel is a really nice person ! He was always available when needed and very helpful for travel advices :) Also the hostel was very clean and the rooftop was definitely a plus If you're looking for an opportunity with light work, great location and nice coworkers I think this is the right one !!

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel! I want to thank Yorgis and Maria for their attention to communication and to make us feel at home. The low season flow of guests allowed us to work in a relaxed environment. The tasks were super easy and clear. Σας ευχαριστώ και πάλι, ελπίζω να επιστρέψω σύντομα :) 🥰

I spent three great weeks at the hostel. Since it was low season, the work was very relaxed. In the mornings there was more to do, like making beds, but at night it was mostly waiting for late check-ins or serving drinks at the chill bar. The hostel is well located in the city center, but to get to the beaches it's better to take a bus. I volunteered with two other girls, which made the experience even better. I gave it five stars because I would definitely go back, maybe during a busier time of the year.

I loved my month in Crete and would 100% recommend volunteering at the hostel!! The hostel is super clean, cozy, and right in the heart of Heraklion. You'll quickly feel like a local. Yorgos and Maria are incredibly kind and welcoming. Yorgos genuinely cares about the volunteers and made sure our shifts were flexible so we had plenty of time to explore the island. The work was chill and easy, and I shared a room with the other volunteer, which was perfect! If you're considering volunteering in Crete, I can't recommend the hostel enough! Thank you for an unforgettable month — efharisto!

It was my first experience with Worldpackers volunteering, i highly recommand the hostel. The staff is amazing :) i will trully miss them : Yorgos, Maria, Karolina & Natasza were very welcoming. The tasks are easy to do & my schedule was very nice, doing mostly night shift :)
