I had a great time here. Lewis was clear about expectations on tasks and the work itself was chill. Mostly just serving breakfast and checking people in. Lewis is a great cook and an excellent host. I had lots of downtime to explore and do other things. Would totally come back!

Very comfortable. If you enjoy hiking in the mountains, this experience is incredible. I liked the working conditions, and Lewis was approachable right from the start. 100% recommended.

My heart is in Kinlochleven! This is by far one of the most magical places I have been to while traveling Scotland. 🌟 Lewis is an amazing, TALENTED and fun host. We cooked, laughed and had a great time, wish my stay would've been longer! The tasks are very clear, Lewis provides clear instructions of what he wants or needs done and the hours are always respected. Hope I get the chance to return soon!

The the guest house was my first experience as a volunteer and I feel I was blessed with this opportunity. Kinlochleven is perfect for anyone who's looking for peace and quiet, and it gives you plenty of opportunities to be as close to nature as you can. Lots of places to go hiking and the scenery is simply stunning. the the guest house is really cozy, the work is easy and really well organised and Lewis and Michelle were amazing hosts. Given the chance I'd definitely go back and spend more time there.

I had a wonderful stay at the the guest house, Lewis is a kind and welcoming host, every meal was absolutely delicious and the accommodation is lovely. The room is very cozy and comfortable. The location is also fantastic! If you love nature, peaceful surroundings or hiking, this is the perfect place. There are so many beautiful walks nearby and I would happily recommend this experience to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay!!!

Had the best time at the the guest house with Lewis! He's an awesome guy and host, knows so much about the area and is excellent company. I just helped out with breakfast and did a little bit of cleaning so I had lots of time to explore the area - kinlochleven is GORGEOUS. Would recommend!!

Warning to future volunteers: although the volunteer work itself is rewarding and the area is absolutely beautiful, unfortunately the coordinator behaves inappropriately and unprofessionally around volunteers after drinking. Female volunteers have been put in deeply uncomfortable situations due to his actions. I cannot recommend this position until serious changes are made to ensure volunteer safety. A rewarding volunteer experience is not worth risking your personal safety and comfort.

Kinlochleven is a beautiful town, I had the pleasure of enjoying some amazing hikes during my stay. However, my friend and I had to leave the experience early due to feeling unsafe with the living situation. I felt disrespected by the fact that the apartment was filthy upon our arrival, making it feel like the host was not ready to recieve us. I felt as though my precense was taking up space unless I showed interest in the hosts exccessive drinking. I felt as though I could not properly communicate with the host because of this.
