Considerati fortunati se mai ti trovi in questa fattoria. C'è qualcosa di molto meditativo nel luogo e nel processo. Se sei nella stagione di punta, imparerai davvero molto sul processo cacao-to-chocolate. Quando non lavori, troverai conversazioni e calore da Mayoor, l'ospite, Mukunth, il coordinatore dei volontari, le adorabili signore che lavorano lì, gli animali domestici amichevoli e gli altri volontari. Le tue preoccupazioni e suggerimenti riguardo ai compiti sono prese in considerazione da Mukunth e accolte quando è possibile. Ho trovato qui casa lontano da casa :)

Questa è stata la mia seconda esperienza in fattoria. Questo mese arrivano le cabosse di cacao alla fattoria per la lavorazione; voglio sperimentare l'intera attività. Sono davvero contento che Mukunath e Mayoor siano stati molto disponibili e abbiano spiegato tutto il processo. Ho passato del tempo con i miei animali domestici preferiti, Robin e Munshi, oltre che con una mucca e il suo vitello. Ho anche incontrato lì Eyal, Paule, Gigi, Dimitri e Melica. È stata davvero una bella esperienza con tutti i volontari a Gazibo. Questa stagione è un po' più calda e umida, quindi ho affrontato qualche difficoltà a causa del caldo. Ma nel complesso l'esperienza è stata incredibile.

What a great experience being on the farm! While my trip was cut shorter than expected, Mayoor was very accommodating, willing to teach, freely shared about his life and work experiences, and and brought a unique insight of daily life of southern India. Learning about how chocolate is made, getting our hands dirty, seeing it all happen before our eyes was a real treat. It can be hard and tedious at times, but I gained a deeper appreciation of this magical substance. The other volunteers were great, had fun trips into town for ice cream and other local favorites.

Mayoor is more than a host a teacher never seen a person with such integrity He let me go with my dog and made me and my dog stay comfortably Farm life is hard but it was so much fun working and learning about cacao, fermentation of beer and living a healthy farm life.

I had a fantastic two weeks volunteering at the farm. Mayoor is a lovely relaxed guy who cultivates a social atmosphere and there seems to always be a couple of volunteers knocking around. He organised trips to other local the farm or to meet local people and was always open to us trying out some cooking in the kitchen (there was delightful home-cooked food provided anyway). It is, however, a working farm so it's always an early start and there can be some hard manual jobs to be done plus the accommodation is suitably rustic with some damp and mosquitoes. The farm is a great place if you want to make friends with new people and it lets us know the culture of many people .host Mayoor is really amazing i enjoyed the discussions we often had during our breaks and he also helps us by guiding us abouts and arounds of the place I would totally recommend someone to visit this place if they are also ok with a little bit of physical tasks ! 💯
