I never imagined I'd find so much joy in a volunteer job, but my time here was truly unforgettable. I got to stay in this beautiful hotel with a clean, spacious room that made me feel so fancy. We had a delicious breakfast every day, and the staff treated me with such kindness! Most of all, I'm deeply grateful to Gerti, the owner, whose warmth and support made this journey special. If you get the chance to work with Gerti, whether at the front desk or serving breakfast, you'll understand what I'm talking about! He has an amazing soul, and I'll carry this experience with deep gratitude! 🙏🏽

I'm so serious when I say this: Best. Volunteering. Ever 😁 Gerti, the owner, is an amazing person. The hotel is gorgeous and so comfortable. The city: safe and beautiful. The routine: always chill, never too demanding. The staff: sweetest people on the planet. The internet is fast, so you can work remotely. There's delicious breakfast everyday. I'm sad I only had a short 2-week stay (private room and all, omg), but I cannot stress this enough: it is amazing and you'll be so lucky to be here. I loved it and would definitely come back in the future. Thank you, Gerti!!

I loved my stay at the hotel, Gerti and the staff were really nice, I got the chance to work at the reception and help at the breakfast and both of the task were easy and interesting, the hotel is very comfortable and so pretty, Vlora is beautiful I recommend to rent a car if you want to visit the city and the places around !! The only “bad” point is about the kitchen that you can't use at night because of the restaurant 👩🍳 But it was such a good experience I recommend it Thank you Gerti !!🤍

Este es el lugar de voluntariado más espectacular en el que me he quedado! Las instalaciones so preciosas, las habitaciones súper cómodas y el desayuno buffet abundante y divino. El personal siempre fue muy amable conmigo. Gerti es un anfitrión excelente que te hace sentir como en casa y siempre está pendiente de cualquier cosa que surja. Lo único a tener en cuenta es que no se puede usar la cocina! No les recomiendo comprar muchas cosas, es mejor comprar poco o directamente comer fuera ya que la comida no es nada costosa :). 100% recomendado este voluntariado para conocer Vlore!

Este fue mi primer voluntariado y lo recomiendo 100% ! Me sentí como en casa! Gerti es super buena onda y se preocupa porque estés cómoda! 🫶Tener en cuenta que el hotel está un poco alejado del centro de la ciudad pero se puede llegar en bus tranquilamente. Todo el equipo en el hotel es super agradable y acogedor ! Las chicas de housekeeping son muy amorosas ! 🩷 sin duda me llevo una excelente experiencia con este voluntariado. 😍 En general en Albania las personas son muy amigables y es muy seguro👌 (muy distinto a lo que se puede pensar desde el principio)

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Gerti, the manager, is very friendly, interesting, and helpful. The mission was interesting, but unfortunately, it wasn't the peak season yet, so there weren't many guests. So, I enjoyed the city and the beach, and visited many Albania's cities!

Gerti era molto accogliente e gentile. Ci ha offerto passaggi in città e voleva socializzare con i volontari. I turni erano di 4 ore al giorno, 6 giorni alla settimana. A 5/10 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia. Un ottimo modo per rilassarsi ed esplorare Vlorë. Il mio alloggio condiviso era accanto all'hotel ed era molto basilare. Alcuni volontari alloggiavano nell'hotel. Nel complesso, la mia esperienza è stata davvero fantastica! Grazie, Gerti!

The facilities and staff at the hotel are nearly unmatched. We fell in love with Lady in the kitchen, Tamara in the reception, the view from the rooftop, the hotel room we got to stay in, and all stunning beaches and resorts that surround. I prefer other coastal cities like Sarandë and Himarë, but this part of Vlorë is very special. When we arrived, we put our heads together to set up a schedule and outline of responsibilities for each shift as these details were lacking which wasn't suitable for a working digital nomad like me. My advise is to make your needs known and get things in writing.

Mi experiencia en Vlore, en el hotel, fue increíble. El trabajo es fácil y tienes tiempo para hacer actividades durante el día. Conectas con más viajeros. Gerti es un excelente anfitrión, siempre está al pendiente de los voluntarios. La comida es muy rica y el personal es muy amable. Fue una experiencia enriquecedora.

I recently had the pleasure of volunteering at Gerti's hostel, and it was hands down the best worldpackers experience I've had. Gerti is incredibly lovely and accommodating, making you feel right at home. The work is easy and manageable, leaving you plenty of downtime to explore the city and enjoy the beach. Overall, it was an amazing experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking to volunteer!
