Il mio soggiorno presso Husky Dreams è stato un'esperienza unica ed educativa. Ho imparato molto sul comportamento dei cani e su come prendermi cura di loro, cosa che era il mio obiettivo principale nel fare volontariato qui. Stare così vicino a questi 52 cuccioli è stato senza dubbio il punto culminante del mio soggiorno! Allo stesso tempo, l'esperienza è stata piuttosto intensa. Non c'era un orario di lavoro chiaro, e per gran parte del mio soggiorno ero l'unico volontario/dipendente qui. Tuttavia mi sono trovato bene con Per: è una persona gentile e flessibile. Questo soggiorno è consigliato a persone forti e indipendenti che si sentono a proprio agio ad essere da soli.

Husky Dreams offre un'esperienza molto intensa e unica, vicino alla natura, lavorando quotidianamente con molti husky e facendo parte della vita legata alle slitte trainate da cani in Lapponia. Il lavoro è fisicamente impegnativo ma gratificante, e sono stato molto fortunato con il gruppo di volontari, il cui sostegno e guida hanno reso l'esperienza davvero speciale. Tuttavia, l'organizzazione e la comunicazione possono essere difficili. Durante il mio soggiorno, due volontari e un lavoratore sono stati improvvisamente invitati a lasciare senza preavviso a causa di «errori», il che è sembrato molto duro dato il livello di supervisione. Più adatto a persone flessibili e indipendenti.

Husky Dreams offre un'esperienza artica veramente unica: paesaggi bellissimi, lunghe albe, aurore boreali, slitte trainate da cani e lavorare quotidianamente con circa 50 cani, ciascuno con la propria personalità. Ho imparato molto e ho incontrato volontari provenienti da molti paesi. Tuttavia, il proprietario è spesso assente e sembra attraversare difficoltà personali, che attualmente influenzano l'organizzazione e la comunicazione. Ai volontari a volte viene chiesto di assumere responsabilità importanti con supervisione limitata. Il mio soggiorno è terminato bruscamente ed è stato emotivamente difficile. Un'esperienza incredibile per persone flessibili e indipendenti.

Attualmente sono ancora ospite al Husky dreams perché ho deciso di prolungare il mio soggiorno di 2 settimane!
Mi sono divertito molto al Husky dreams negli ultimi 2,5 mesi! Ho imparato molto sui cani da slitta e su questo stile di vita davvero unico; ho avuto l'opportunità di guidare un ATV, una motoslitta e una slitta, ho aiutato con diverse attività riguardanti i cani come alimentarli, pulire i canili, preparare per tour/allenamenti, ecc.
È sicuramente importante essere fisicamente in forma e capaci di gestire cani forti, e fare molte domande. Finora è stata una grande esperienza di apprendimento personale e sicuramente lo consiglio :)

Thank you so much Sanne and Per for a wonderful month with 48 huskies. This is such an unforgettable experience and I'll miss sweet baby Obee a lot. Highly recommended this experience for other volunteers! The hosts are incredibly nice and welcoming. The home is cozy and lovely. And the dogs are simply adorable 💖

My stay at husky dreams during the summer was incredible. From cuddling dogs, cleaning and fixing a few things around the property. It was a good balance. Sanne was always making shure we were ok and Per is a really good cook. I already miss being surrounded with dogs all day long. I'm also grateful to Sanne who enabled me to be creative and shared her thoughts with me.

I truly have no words to describe the incredible opportunity I had working at Husky Dreams. Thank you, Per, Sanne, and all the amazing volunteers I met for making me feel at home the entire time. These four months have been full of hard work, but I would do it all over again a hundred times. A special thanks to the dogs, my bananas for taking me all over with the sled and keeping me company whenever I was feeling down. This was a life changing experience that not only disciplined me but also offered me endless days of fun and breathtaking scenery.

I had a great time at Husky Dreams! 43 dogs that I miss. 43 very strong and beautiful bananas that give you a lot of love and kisses. Per and Sanne are very nice people, they made sure I felt at home and always worried if I was okay. Volonteers rooms are very nice and clean, and plenty of food. Nice atmosphere also with the other volonteers. Thank you Till for making me breakfast every morning :) I highly recommend this experience. Thank you again Per and Sanne for everything and hope to see you and the dogs soon🫶

My two months at Husky Dreams were an incredible and unique experience. I loved to be surrounded by beautiful landscapes, northen lights and dogs. The dogs have all such great and unique personalities. You also learn a lot about them, the dogsledding and the work around it. The work can be hard during the high seasons but if you're willing to learn, work hard and are flexible with the working hours it will be very rewarding. I would recommend this experience and I hope to come back soon!
