Ho trascorso un ottimo tempo con Chris come ospite. Lei ha fornito pasti sani e gustosi e ha potuto soddisfare alcune intolleranze/preferenze. Il fiume vicino era perfetto per rinfrescarsi nelle giornate calde. Ho visto tucani, lucertole giganti e molte scimmie nel cortile sul retro, e molte bradipi sul molo in città. Il letto non era così comodo come quello a cui sono abituato, ma non era nemmeno il peggio. Change parla inglese molto bene e ci ha sicuramente trattati tutti con rispetto e gentilezza 😊

Raccomando davvero questa esperienza a chiunque voglia addentrarsi nella cultura locale di Sarapiquí e della Costa Rica. Con Christ ho conosciuto persone incredibili del posto e abbiamo partecipato ad attività ecologiche molto divertenti ed educative. Ho potuto imparare molto sulla sostenibilità, sull'ecologia e sulla flora e fauna della zona. Senz'altro, questa esperienza ha avuto un impatto molto positivo su di me, e la consiglio davvero tanto. Christ è una persona incredibile: divertente, gentile, molto disponibile e sempre pronta ad aiutarmi per qualsiasi dubbio o necessità che avessi. Inoltre cucina molto bene! E l'appartamento è abbastanza comodo.

Christ è un'anima così bella. Mi è piaciuto molto incontrarla e sono molto interessato alle sue idee e ai suoi piani futuri. È molto motivata a creare cambiamenti significativi e tiene profondamente alle persone. La nostra settimana è stata un po' caotica a causa di alcune situazioni impreviste e quindi non sono riuscito a fare gran parte del lavoro di cui avevamo parlato... tuttavia, anche considerando le difficoltà, sono contento di essere andato a incontrarla e lei è anche una grande insegnante di spagnolo; ho trovato facile imparare da lei e sentito che il mio spagnolo è migliorato. Anche l'area è bella. La consiglierei!

I stayed with Christ's mom and dad ( Sandra & Angel) at their place and it was an amazing experience. Since the beginning Christ helped me by answering the questions I had, especially, with those questions about how to get to her mom's finca. Now, Sandra and Angel were amazing hosts for me. They made me feel safe and they taught me skills that I can use for myself in the future. Communication was key and I'm grateful that I met them. They are awesome! The place is a little far from the small town, but you can get there by walking and you will see beautiful views! You will love it here!

I spent two amazing weeks with Christ. She is very lovely and welcoming! The tasks are pretty easy and Christ is very flexible about the work and time. As she just moved, we didn't actually did much about permaculture but we helped her with the volunteer's house decoration, build the fence, helped her during the architectural class, and we also had the opportunity to work at her mom's farm. Everything was very nice and interesting. Thank you so much Christ for the time you shared with us, take care ✨️

Christ is an incredible and VERY kind host. The work was very easy, and often fun. And is flexible if you have anything you're committed to. I learned so much in the 10 days I was there! But I will say from an honest point, that not everything that was advertised was immediately available or accessible. And thats mainly due to it not having been updated as she recently moved into a new house. So if there's something specific you're wanting from the experience like dance classes or something, I would ask Christ ahead of time to see if she can make arrangements for it :)

Ciao! Tu e Fountine siete stati gli ultimi due volontari di quella stagione. Ho dovuto interrompere il programma perché dovevo lavorare a un grande progetto per costruire un supermercato; con quei soldi è stato possibile comprare un frigorifero e una lavatrice nuova per il programma. Ho apportato la modifica con quello nuovo e ora sono pronto ad accogliere di nuovo più volontari.

I was volunteering for a week on my own at FCR, I will forever value the time I got to spend with Christ. She is an amazing person who you can learn a lot from, assisting her with her design project in the city and then spending lots of time in nature was the perfect balance for me. Her pets are so sweet, I miss her two dogs Frida and Picasso !

This was my first Worldpackers experience as well as my first time traveling alone outside of my home country, and I could not of asked for a batter experience. Kris, the host, is such a joyful, kind, smart women and was amazing with helping me with transportation and any questions/concerns that I had, and the food was delicious. She taught me a lot about Costa Rica, and helped me improve my Spanish. I learned so much with this experience, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves nature and animals.

Termine participando de otro proyecto dentro de los de Christ y no este, pero fue hermoso. La familia es super recibidora, la finca es hermosa y la comida de Sandra riquísima. Fuimos a una catarata, al rio, aprendí un poco sobre cabras, tuve la oportunidad de montar a caballo y el trabajo fue divertido. Sandra, Angel y Ronald hicieron que una sola semana fuera una experiencia inolvidable, al igual que Saga y Claudia, voluntarias con las que compartí la estadía. Mil abrazos para todos y para Perla, King y Escapista 🫶🏼

During this experience, I was able to learn a lot and take a break from the constant movement of the contemporary world. Although I did not stay as long as I would have hoped to, I would have liked to participate more in giving back to the community such as teaching English. Nevertheless, I learned a lot and it was so rejuvenizing being able to connect with nature
