Questo è uno scambio molto equo, ottieni molto per quello che fai. Il team è molto disponibile e ti fa sentire il benvenuto, e la cucina prepara cibo eccellente. La città è piccola ma vivace e ottieni ottime offerte per viaggiare in altri posti. Tieni presente che a volte le onde possono essere folli a seconda della stagione; fai la tua ricerca se sei venuto a fare surf, ma l'atmosfera qui è così rilassata che 4 settimane voleranno via :)

L'ostello era un ostello incredibile per fare volontariato. L'ostello in sé è molto bello e molto ben mantenuto. Il lavoro che fai è davvero divertente e (se ti piace la gastronomia/lavorare al bancone) ed è stato davvero bello imparare a preparare alcuni cocktail! Gli altri membri dello staff sono tutti molto accoglienti e mi sono divertito molto con loro. È un work exchange giusto, poiché ottieni molti sconti, cibo, tavole da surf e yoga gratis, ed è una buona ripartizione lavorare 4 volte a settimana per 7,5 h e avere 3 giorni di riposo. El Paredon è molto piccolo, ma se ti piace la spiaggia, il sole e fare festa, allora amerai il tuo tempo presso Mellow!

I had a great time at the hostel, from the second I walked into reception to the last goodbye, i felt welcomed. You will live in a little angle of paradise with amazing food & a great team. Hours & tasks are very doable - when the team is great, time literally flies. Pity i couldn't extend my stay, would have loved to!

My time at the hostel was amazing. Everyone here really is one big family. My responsibilities were exactly as expected and I would recommend this role to anyone looking for a social volunteering position. Already planning my next trip back!

I stayed at the hostel for three weeks after deciding to shorten my stay after spending a week in El Paredón and realizing the town itself is quite limited in things to do. The volunteer team was amazing and I met some genuinely great people and made close friends during my time there. The bar shifts, however, were more physically demanding than I expected for a volunteer role. You're on your feet the entire 7.5-hour shift and constantly busy, which made the work feel more intense than I had anticipated. Still, it was a valuable experience, and I appreciated being part of such a lively community:)

The hostel was a wonderful time, and it was hard to say goodbye 💜 The place runs really smoothly, and it's a very sustainable amount of work mixed with fun. The benefits are incredible, and you do earn them with a good but fun time working. It felt good to truly belong somewhere after so much travel. Miss everyone there, and I hope you apply!

This was my first volunteering experience and I would 100% recommend to other travellers. It's the perfect balance of socialising and relaxing, board rentals everyday and a minute away from the sunset on the beach every night.
