I really enjoyed my time with Manon and her 3 dogs; Lili, Bucky, and Luna. Manon helped me with my ADHD by texting me a list of tasks to do for the day which I appreciated. She was great at communicating and was very supportive. The dogs were super friendly and incredibly well behaved. I have only been gone for a few days now and I already miss them. I can't recommend her enough! The only downside is that there isn't a lot to do in Almere where she lives. It's a man made city created to provide housing for those working in Amsterdam. But I still made the best of my time there.

The staying in Manon house its a nice opportunity to pet sitting Luna, Lili and Bucky (who are the sweetest) the home is 1.30 hr away from Amsterdam by Public transport, so you can visit the city on the weekends. Be aware that this may be difficult on the week days, because by the “rules” you can't leave the dogs more than 3 hours alone. The tasks were mainly take care of the dogs, feeding them and taking them for walks everyday, also doing housekeeping with a detail schedule. Beside this, you will also need to spend your free time with them, so sometimes can be more than 5 hours per day :).

Grazie per la recensione, sono rimasto/a a casa per tutta la durata del tuo soggiorno (ero malato) il che significa che non hai trascorso alcun tempo libero con i cani (erano per lo più rinchiusi nella tua stanza). Non hai nemmeno mostrato molto interesse per loro. Conosco i miei cani: si comportano molto diversamente quando la persona ama davvero stare con i cani.
I cani possono restare soli fino a 6 ore, il che significa che il lavoro può essere fatto al mattino e il resto del tempo può essere trascorso a esplorare all esterno se si vuole, e questo vale solo quando sono in ufficio. Non hai preso questa opportunità né hai espresso di voler esplorare di più. E dato che ero a casa tutti i giorni non sarebbe stato un problema.
Le serate possono anche essere libere se comunicato in anticipo. Posso essere molto flessibile!

Mi sembra che ci sia stata una incomprensione quando ho detto che non ospito volontari per farli stare chiusi in camera tutto il giorno, tranne durante l orario di lavoro. Mi piace conoscere la persona che vive nella mia casa e sento che avresti trascorso un tempo migliore se avessi espresso le tue preoccupazioni.

A experiência valeu bastante, os dogs são realmente gentis e muito queridos, principalmente a Lili, já deixa saudade, as tarefas são tranquilas, a experiência da convivência com os dogs é bem interessante, podemos aprender mais com eles do que com os humanos muitas vezes. Tínhamos um pouco de falha com a comunicação entre mim e a dona, mas conseguíamos sempre resolver escrevendo. Agradeço os dias passados, e espero reencontrar os queridos dogs algum dia (:

Grazie, Thais, per la recensione, è stato un piacere ospitarti e sono d'accordo che la barriera linguistica abbia reso più difficile connetterci, dato che non parlo portoghese e hai avuto difficoltà a tradurre la guida della casa con le regole e le responsabilità lavorative. Ti auguro il meglio per le tue avventure e forse un giorno i nostri percorsi si incroceranno di nuovo!
