I arrived in Wales with the intention of connecting with nature and enjoying the idea of caring for dogs. However, I leave with more than I expected. I leave with the lesson of how important it is for me (and for the world) to live in a community. My soul wouldn't have felt at home if I hadn't shared beautiful moments with all of you. I was treated like a brother and a son. I noticed how we cared for each other's needs as if they were our own. Thank you for being a part of this humanity. It's my first time experiencing a sense of community in another language. Wishing you all the best :)

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to be able to do this volunteering. Everything was wonderful: the hosts Andrew and Down very kind and always available; the engaging housework and respecting the set hours; The parks and the fascinating surrounding nature; their dogs super loving; the delicious meals and the fun chats. We felt at home. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier for personal reasons but I was very happy to have had this experience. I recommend it to everyone!

Dawn and Andrew were fantastic and this experience with them couldn't have gone better. We visited beautiful places in Wales and enjoyed exquisite dishes cooked by them (truly delicious! 🇮🇹✅). The work was flexible and varied based on daily needs. Grace, Max, and Cookie are incredibly sweet, and taking them out was more of a pleasure than a job, especially in an area with lots of greenery. We felt greatly enriched by this experience. They'll make you feel at home right away and never put pressure on you. Try to give your best in the small things because with them, you'll receive the best! ❤️

I couldn't ask for a better worldpackers experience first. Dawn and Andrew made us feel at home since the first moment we arrived. The work was not difficult at all and we were able to enjoy lots of free time to discover Wales. Grace, Max and Cookie are three adorable dogs and you will fall in love with them too. It was an amazing month, we loved everything from the night watching movies and eating treats to the trips discovers together to discover Wales, also evening talking and playing and much more, we had a lot of fun. Thanks for everything Dawn and Andrew, see you again soon!❤️

We absolutely enjoyed staying at Mainhouse, Andrew and Dawn are very kind and lovely people. We also fall in love with cookie, max and grace. Three amazing dogs! We had enough free time to see the stunning nature around Rhayader and da few trips to nearest city's. It was incredible 3 weeks, tasks weren't difficult and we had fun! Thank you Andrew and Dawn❤️

Dawn and Andrew were the best hosts, very friendly, attentive and fun. They took us on walks to nearby towns and we did recreational walks to get to know the area. The landscape is beautiful, the house is very comfortable and warm, just like a home❤️ the tasks were very simple, we had plenty of free time to relax with the dogs, who were very good and affectionate! We also did game nights and movies with dessert (my favorite part) 🥰 Thank you for the beautiful moments we shared together, we are going to miss you and hope we can come back later 🙌🏻😘 🩷

Just perfect! From the first day it was clear that Dawn and Andrew are very good people and they made us feel at home at all times. Cookie, grace and max are very obedient and adorable dogs. PS: Andrew is a very good cook

Utterly perfect in every way! 5 stars is not enough to rate this experience. Andrew and Dawn are the most amazing hosts. Warm, kind, generous, and passionate about the local area. They made us feel at home and I really feel we've made true friends and can't wait to meet up again. The tasks were never difficult, and everything was planned out beforehand so we could plan our days off. We got to see so much of the area! Cookie, Max, and Grace are the most loveliest dogs ever, and they will steal your heart for sure! Thank you so much for everything. It was definitely our best experience yet!❤

This is my fifth volunteer experience and my most favourite one by far. Dawn & Andrew are the most kind, generous and funny couple I've ever come across. They have made us feel so welcomed and we felt like we were a part of their family which is what made this experience incredible for us. The work wasn't difficult and we had plenty of time off to be able to explore and walk around the local area which Dawn & Andrew kindly showed us. We absolutely fell in love with their three dogs Grace, Max & Cookie who we got to look after (walking, feeding). We will miss them all so much. Thank you ❤️
